The Best Program

Whats the best program for splitting avi files. Some of my Divx movies are around 800MB-1GB and I need to cut em' in half. I have a simple one that does that job but I've heard that it can ruin the movie by unsyncing the audio and video or skipping frames. I'd like to know what better programs I can use to split them, prefferably something simple or at least one that isn't time consuming.

Virtual Dub is a great program for splitting .avi's. You can get it at Doom9.org . Its fast if you kno what your doing...I beleive they have a little guide there on how to split..
