How to define?

Original - Original version of track
Vocal - Version with vocal (e.g. no vocal in original version)
Radio - Special version for radio, without parts for mixing
Edit - Short version, for promo
Instrumental - Instrumental only version, means without vocal
Extended - Extended version of original track
Rip - Ripped from radio/tv/cable, not full (not official)
Dub -
Mix -
Remix - Reworked/Edited/Advanced/Damaged version of original track
Version -


Please correct, add explanations for types of tracks

This is what i understood them to be:

Original - Original version of track
Vocal - Version with vocal (e.g. no vocal in original version)
Radio - Special version for radio, without parts for mixing,usually cut right down, to just the main parts of the track
Edit - a remix but has many elements of the original track, but completly re worked i.e. PVD edit of klea - tic toc
Instrumental - Instrumental only version, means without vocal
Extended - Extended version of original track
Rip - Ripped from radio/tv/cable, not full (not official)
Dub - No vocals or very little or the origianl vocals just as 'DJ Mikey Mike' described
Mix - Same as remix/ short for remix?
Remix - Reworked/Edited/Advanced/Damaged version of original track
Version - Sometimes artists make 2 or more mainly identical tracks and make different versions in order to see which goes down best with the crowd

No. A remix is much more invasive to the original than a mix.
a Mix generally resembles the original Mix, uses the same sounds, same melody, bifferent build-ups perhaps. A Remix has a different sound (e.g. ligaya original mix vs. Green Court Remix) and the melody can be the same or slightly different or completely different alltogether.
'Mix' is usually preceded of 'Original', 'Club', 'Extended', 'Radio', 'Vocal', 'Instrumental',... whereas a remix is usually preceded by an artist name.

So don't ever write 'Cosmic Gate - Fire Wire (DJ Scot Project Mix)' as it's clearly a completely reworked version of the Original Mix and therefore clearly is a Remix.

... but there are times when labels release someone's remix as "_____ Mix". I've said this before, but oh well. Mix, Remix, Version, Remake and whatever else a remixer feels like calling his mix can all be used interchangeably. What you said is a fairly good rule of thumb but does not apply in all instances and it shouldn't be assumed that it does.

Random examples:

Control Freaks - Subspace Interference (Blu Peter & Sal Mix)
Ecano - Run (Z2 Mix)
RR Workshop - Mess With Da Bull (Pappa & Gilbey Mix)

The three above should be labelled "Remix" according to your rule but they are clearly not. All of these are just labels! There are no rules.

edit With regards to the original post:

As pointed out, a dub typically removes all or some of the vocals from a vocal-based track. It should be noted however that one can release a "dub" version of a track that never had vocals in the first place! A dub can simply be a darker, slower, more minimal or otherwise altered mix.

Random examples:

Accadia - Into The Dawn (Accadia Ambient Dub)
Cygnus X - Superstring (Rank 1's Deep Dub)
HH - ICE 794 (Thanks To Berlin Dub Mix)
Bedrock - Heaven Scent (Evolution Dub Mix)
Mirco De Govia - Epic Monolith (Sonorous' Epic Dub)
Three Drives - Sunset On Ibiza (DJ Ton TB Dub Mix)

etc.

Extended version = Extended/ Longer version of the radio edit/version , ussually containing an intro that is a little shorter and more energetic than the origina or club mixes, and also usually has little or no outro whatsoever.

I know, Starglider; exceptions confirm the rule.
