DJ Tips
Theres probably loads of threads like this, but when i try and search i get an error and the page wont load up. Neway i am finally getting my decks in two days time (Numark tt1650's and dm3000x if your interested), and i was wondering what one tip would you give to a newbie like me?
There is no such thing as a quick fix, or a "majik" formula (hehe).
Practice!
That's all, I guess.

then once you're done practicing
take a break, have a smoke, whatever
then practice some more
it's not going to come to you right away
you will get frustrated and you will want to give up
just don't
take a breath, leave it for a day or 2
then give er another go
don't force yourself to mix
just do it when you feel like it
but you should try at least one transition a day
so ya think i shud practise? lol. i no, is there any more tips that you'd give, besides practise?
there isnt really any other tips really just practice and you'll see what we mean. listen to mixed cds. good luck
learn trak structures!!!
as in: 16 beats, something dif
32 beats something even more diff happens
64 beats comes a chorus (im not sure about that one)
but u shuld analyse and be natural with ur music, dont start counting beats just be natural, it will come to u, specially if u like wat ur doin
check out the web pages below. i have not actually read the articles myself but i know there are some there. good luck.
