From the looks of it, it seems like they're gonna be edits. Then in like a year he'll probably release extended mixes...all part of the plot to "cash in".

altho i am looking forward to this, i am glad ferry is getting this album out because he wants to diversify his sound. i think he feels confined to euphoric trance and this system f album will represent that: but 'punk' was great and clearly as a producer he can release wicked tracks of many styles in the future (once this album is released)

Do not worry Sonny!
I bet Ferry is goin' to include the full lenght version of Ligaya [Vocal Mix]

Never really liked these "radio" versions either. :/

i think avex might be the one distributing it.
if that's the case, i might stand a chance to get it about the same time the japs get it.

i could order an import thru HMV.
that was how i got my first system f album faster than anyone else outside of japan.

Well said, I agree with you. I think this album will be made to appeal to the Japanese masses and introduce them to the European trance sound. So I'm sure it will be pretty diverse to show every corner of the genre. However the album I'm really waiting for is his new artist album under Ferry Corsten. He's said that it will be very diverse and thats good to hear.

So far all the artists that have experimented in their albums have succeeded I think. Tiesto did well with the vocal tracks in In My Memory. Rank 1 had it going good in all directions in Symsonic (even though the tracks are mad short and the album has alot of unecessary remixes on it). So its good that artists diversify in their albums I guess, otherwise if I wanted anthem after anthem I'd get a mix compilation.

In short, things look

Just an update on Ferry's other album, the one under his own name...

In a recent interview with the Dutch pop/rock star Birgit Schuurman, she reveals the following: "Last Thursday I recorded a song together with DJ Ferry Corsten for his album in Europe, Japan and America. I wrote the text and I sang the vocals. Tony Cornelissen will play the guitar and Martijn Bosman will play the drums. Its a fat dance record and it still reminds me of the Mission Impossible-theme. Its for his new records, but it could be a bonustrack on my own CD too. The name of the song will be: Show your style."

I have a feeling Ferry's going to show a lot of different styles in his album

I'll be happy just for some good music, it could be a two & a half minute tune for all I care...

Posted by afastest on Jan-06-2003 04:11:

15 tracks, if it is 80 min, then 5 min 20 s long tracks average. That's enough.

Nifty cool! As opposed to what most people seem to think, I really like Punk and Dance Valley 2001, the latter of which is a monumental energetic masterpiece in my opinion. I hope his forthcoming album and releases continue this style!

And people dare to say that Tiesto is the sellout. Bah!

What the hell is Ligaya doing there?
