Yeah.....right now I'm in the trance zone. I had my days with commercial radio TOP 40 shit but I was in high school back then and you know.....everybody follows what's "in".
As for alternatives to trance, I hate rap, hip hop and R and B. It's all crap to my ears. I don't mind classic rock though (Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones, Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd, YES, etc.). I also really like David Bowie.
A few years ago..well more like 5 or 6, I was into the Smashing Pumpkins and OASIS. 1979 and Perfect are still some of my favourite songs of all time. It's too bad the Pumpkins broke up but they had their hey day.
I like some pop too....80's shit wasn't all that bad.
Oh, and of course...how can you like music and not love or at least respect CLASSICAL music? I love that stuff....Beehtoven, Mozart, Bach...it's all great stuff.
But these days...it's all trance for me. House and techno aren't bad.
-Trance Techno House etc ...
-Rock classics (from the beatles to pink floyd jimmy hendrix nirvana oasis the doors etc...)
and even some mainstream crap (but it's fackin' rare)

i like older alternative bands
radiohead
rage against the machine
smashing pumpkins
korn (old stuff)
stuff like that, i listen mostly to electronic this days but it's always good to get away of the beats
Va t'coucher avec ta music non-electronique J-F!
bon jovi, bryan adams, and classical music
personnelement j'ecoute tous les styles de musique
mais j'ai une net preference pour le classique, rock inde, et aussi une dose de rap francais

Its Trance or Classical epic anthems : ie Ride of the Valkries, 1812 Overture, Mars, and other huge war music classical songs. Aslo check out, anything by hans zimmer, some vangelis, ennio morricone.I can think of about 5 hip hop songs that are ok, Classic rock is always ok. Some disco, and 99% of what I listen to is Trance!
Alec
if it aint trance
its gotta be blazin hip hop and r&b
trance all the way..
and a little bit of hard rock like metallica, megadeth, etc...
At the Computer - 100% TRANCE
While driving - 90% Trance and other Electronic genres.
The other 10% is chill out music ie: St-Germain, Marc Moulin, Cannabis Cafe Muzik (good album from Ministry a couple months ago).
Occasionally, I'll take out a CD from the ol' days and listen to it with the GF. Examples are G n'R, Motley Crue etc... growing up I listened to every hard rock/metal band imaginable (except for Cannibal Corpse LOL) --- Then I evolved and never looked back :P

as for me...
Its gotta be Trance or other electro genre or no thanks...
as for the rest... I hear of and not listen to...
I mean by that when there's music playing at some place and I'm obligated to hear it.. example: radio playing at work, club music such as hip hop, of course I could go into some other club... but its all the same...
Tu peux me voir couter du hiphop Marseillais chaque 2,3 ans mais c'est extrmement rare. Je prfre couter des chants de supporters de n'importe quelle quipe de foot que dautre chiottes non-lectronique
Ohh! i think country music rocks..
Have some of you hurd the new Shania Twain album?...
Common.... Trance all the way!
oh no!!!!! a girl tranceaddict from montreal.....go! run for the hills! before all these guy TAs start attacking!
lollllll

Radiohead has been my favorite band since i was like 13
um well i don't listen to much else other then electronic music if i can help it. But since alot of my friends don't like it i still listen to what they listen to when im around them. Its what i used to listen to before i found the wonderful would of trance/techno. Melodic hardcore(thats rock) and Emopunk. I can still see why i did, musicly is sound and also the lirics can be very emotional and poetic, but it just doesn't connect with me the yeah trance does.
there you have it
