Marco V - I feel you (Lombardi Rework) - Final

Hey all ... again. This is well, the second time I post this here, but this time I have the final version of this remix I made, last time I had absolutely no feedback at all ... *sigh* ... anyway, i'm hoping this time i'll get at least one, so here it goes.

For those that didn't get my last post, this is nothing but a copy of the rework that Paul Van Dyk has made of this song, the reason for this is --as most know-- PvD takes months to ever release his reworks, if at all decides to do so. Soooo I had the need to create something like it, cause I couldn't find it anywhere and I want it really really badly, and this is what resulted.

I used Reason 2.0 to create the it, using samples from the original version, and some others I found out there. I hope this time you like it.

192kbps:

Hrm, I could work out a stereo version, actually I have it on stereo, I think something must have get messed up at the time of the coding from reason-to-wav-to-mp3 thanks a lot for your input, I really appreciate it.

Oh, btw, I would like to hear your remix, it'd be interesting to listen to another flavour of this track.

Very good!

I'd like to have a 192 kbps mp3, though.
Would be grateful if you post it.

Cheers, vmc

I think this is very good!

IMO the bassline seems a little to much for the overall track ... maybe if you lowered the volume of it a little and upped the volume of the synths ...

Like vmc says though we need a 192kbs rip!

Posted by Sirocco on Apr-25-2003 03:13:

the kick has some clicking sound at end!

Posted by d-jay MyTH on Apr-25-2003 09:44:

yeah can we get 192 rip pls?

Posted by raditz on Apr-25-2003 20:37:

here it goes:

And yes, the kick has a little click in the end I haven't been able to fix, which is quite noticeable in the begining. I'll seek for a better kick and replace it once I have time.

Well, i havent heard the original mix of this song, so i dont have a lot to compare it to. Is the popping sound at the end of the kick part of the sample? if it is, you can edit that out in soundrecorder by just choppin off the popping part. There doesnt seem to be a lead... I dunno if that is what you wanted or if i just was unable to hear it. Overall, nice job. keep it up.

Thanks for the input, and yeah that's what I wanted to do, and already tried, it just seems like the kick has this click going all over it that won't let me remove it properly. If I cut the end the kick sounds kinda dead and stuff but anyway, i'm already looking for a replacement, so it's not that hard really to fix.

I like the bass..love the melody..this is one great mix you made! Although i'd love it if you add the hi hats after a while. Anyway, wish i had a cd player!

Hey great rework, I tried i too, but haven't time to finish.

I would put on more reverb effects on the acid warp. Mayby you
can start the bass on a half step before the first step with a note lower. I think it should be a "D".

Again it sounds very good!!

Greetings daniel

Hrm, i'll work on that as soon as I get my new PSU, damn heat burned my old one ... thanks for the input!

Hey, I've been lurkin TA boards for a while, but I decided to register when I heard your remix.

I love PvD's unreleased mix, and yours is killer!

I think the kick at the beginning sounds too much like a clap, but most everything else is great, I can't think of anything else to say other than its great. Keep up the good work man

I keep listening and all i could comment is that the bassline is a little off and could do with a little work.

Other than that it's fantastic!

Thanks a lot for your input once again, and you're talking about the new one? because I used a different bass and kick on the 192kbps version, where I though to have fixed the problem in the bassline, otherwise i'll take another look at it and attempt to fix it.

Ohhhh Btw, I'm almost done with yet another version of it, and if you guys don't mind i'll post it as soon as i'm done. Basically it'll be just like the 192kbps version, but taking in count all the suggestions i've received from you all.

I am really interested to hear what you have done in the latest version. I agree with what other people have said and this is what I have to add.

There is heavy clipping on this mp3, your levels are way to high, load it into Cool Edit or a similar program and you can clearly see this. You are also not using the correct encoding setting for mp3, if you want help with that bit then pm me and I will help.

Very good rework though mate, one of the best if not the best I have ever heard. Good Job, keep up the good work
