Music to work out too..
Hi!
I call upon my fellow trancegurus on this forum for my humble question... :-)
Anybody got a tips on a great liveset I can listen to while being in the gym... need something very energetic and uplifting, but without all to many "slow parts"..
thanks!
/Sipo
orgasmatron sets my friend...are good sets without too many slow parts.
paul van duck's sets are very nice to be jogging to...when i was tired of running about 5km, i discovered i had my mp3 player with me...so i put it on and when paul's uplift came to me, i ran faster than i've ever done before! this was his set from rosenmontags 2002...
i don't know, maybe there are loads of better sets to work out to....
the set i'm bringing for my training today is Marco_V_Live_at_Sensation_Black_13_07_2002-ukta
I'd suggest PVD sets since the one's i've heard are usually pretty bangin'.
PvD's sets are very nice. I also like Nu-NRG's sets. You could also use some very hard sets. (Chris Liebing, Dj Rush)
Are you thinking of something which you will work out to the exact rhythms? I think Pvd is too fast for that I used to try but it didn't work right. I think 140 was the perfect bpm, or even slower for certain repetitive things like push ups or jumping things... but for running perhaps faster is better, to inspire you to go on because running is such a painful thing to do...
yeah, I work out to PVD sets, and Nu-NRG would prolly be great too.
I also work out to a lot of the old Trance Energy sets, they were very fast paced and uplifting.
You should try working out to Hard-House though, I can go nuts when I'm listening to that. Listening to some Lisa Lashes set fuckin fast and pumping, working out is about the only thing it's good for tho! hehe
Technoboy live from qlimax 21/09/2002 this is fooking banging
nah, how about Dj Rush - Live at I Love Techno?? That's the most energetic, banging set ive ever heard

I love to work out to PvD sets. Hard house is also lots of fun to work out to as well.

Lovin the old Jules sets from 2000, 2001
, any will do
Dj Tiesto - Live at energy 2000 is a good high energy set.
Some of Christopher Lawrence's live sets are also pretty good.
As for songs:
Gouryella - Walhalla [Instrumental Mix]
Spoiled And Zigo - More and more
Mars and Mystre - Save the rave
Judge Jules live at Qontact
One of my all time favs, banging throughout!
You'll be broken when you work out with this for a few hours
Tunnel trance forces
very fast, high paced and energetic.. great for doing cardio if you ask me.. keeps you pumped
My kickboxing trainer like Holy Men..so we're listening to a lot of psytrance while fighting & it ownz!
pvd sets are what i workout to, get's me pumped
Theme music from Rocky is Good. Also eye of the tiger!!
interesting
hey people, this is interesting
in hong kong, ALL the gyms play trance music throughout the day! so you dont need to have the trouble of choosing your own traxx.
Doesn't the breakdowns make you stop, then? I would personally perfer hard-banging techno.. you do your repetitions according to the beats and you dont have to worry about breakdowns and climaxes..
I love working out when I have a good Dave Clarke, PvD, DJ Dawn or Kai Tracid liveset.
isn't it cute when people have new years resolutions...

I think trance like Blank and Jones at trance energy are good for running/cardio and harder stuff like techno or hard house for pumping iron. All this talk about working out is making me feel guilty!
thanks for the replys
Hi!
Thanks for all of the reply's
I recon the best solution would really be to bring a dj that can spin records during the workout... Hmm that would be great...
when you need to rest the dj put's on a slow melodic song and when it's time to go at it again a fast uplifting song would be dropped on the decks :-)
