Miami Hurricanes vs. Ohio State National Championship

well the big game is on friday, and i really like the canes chances. and im not just saying that cause their my team, but because they have such a complete team all around, offense and defense. plus, excellent team speed.

prediction: Miami 34 Ohio St. 13

Go Canes!!

Ohio's a good team. They play very good defense, and they have an incredible running back.

With that said, Miami wins this game running away. The only way Ohio can make it close is if they can make enough plays, to not allow miami to have 8 men in the box, and then smash them with clarret. Then they'd still have to stop Miami, who just has soo many weapons you can't possibly contain all of them.

So, Miami by a lot.

Ohio State's an amazing team... hence them being 12-0 or whatever and 0 they are... but they will be slaughtered in the championship game... especially with Maurice Clarett causing such a disturbance within his team. My prediction:

Miami Hurricanes 45
Ohio St. Buckeyes 27

Also, I predict:

Iowa Hawkeyes 31
USC Trojans 17

HATE CARSON PALMER!!! GO BRAD BANKS!!!

The Huricanes will dominate this game, They are indestructable, Even though our Miami Dolphins didnt make it to the playoffs this year, The Miami Huricanes are always the next best thing.

I can't believe the Huricanes lost, They were robbed, There was one play that the sports comentators said was a bad call, I wish they do something about the way they officiate those college football games like reviewing a play before they make it official.

It was definatly a bad call, and it wasn't pass interference, but all the miscalls balance out in the end, and it wasn't an excuse for them to loose. They lost because they had 5 turn overs.

With that said, I'm pretty shocked myself

No, That one call destroyed there chances of winning, I think the college football rules arent fair, They should've had the people up stairs review a play before they make the official call, even though this aint the nfl, but I think they need to make changes on how they call plays by showing more instant replays to determind if the right call was made, I will forever think Ohio State cheated cause of that bad call, Me being a Huricanes fan, I was very discusted with that call.

Thumbs down

You hate to see the Refs Decide a game (or in this case, give a team 4 more chances)

That said... The canes should have never been in that position...they should have put them out of the game early and scored a bunch...but that's why they play the game.

One thing I find contradictive is that you can chop tackle, but you can't chop block. It's ok to ruin a running backs year, but illegal to do it to a lineman. Something needs to be changed about that. Players should have to make tackles with their arms and body...not diving and helmet hits. I'll be curious to see if McGehee will even be able to play next year after seeing that hit.

And people wonder why there are "more injuries" every year. Bigger better players...but worse and worse technique.

No, no, no. That call which from certain angles looked correct, and was questinable at best didnt beat Miami, there 5 turnovers and inability to run the ball, and stop osu down the stretch beat them, while that call is the vissible reason, if you look at, its not the right one. On a similar note, the refs made some bad plays that hurt Ohio, and some bad plays that hurt Miami, but I think in the end plays tend to balance themselves out, and the deserving team wins.

why cant they just review the plays before they make the official calls, They have instant replays durring the college football games and I never once seen any official or the people in charge of the instant replays buzz the refs to review any single play.

On tv you can see the replay, however there are no provisions for it in college football, so the officials don't have that luxury.

What an amazing game!! My prediction was wrong, but I don't care, I wanted Ohio St. to win. MAURICE CLARETT!!! My second fav on the field was McGahee and did he take one... that was very grotesque and I think that could have hurt his chances dramatically in the NFL, but I seriously hope not. I didn't think Ohio St. could win it with defence, especially with such a bad passing defence, but congrats to the Buckeyes!

Hey Phlotron, I used to be a defensive lineman so I know why chopblocks are illegal. The hit on McGahee wasn't a chop block, he was going to tackle his legs and caught them more viciously. You have to tackle great players in the legs because their vertical base is just too great. But a chopblock on a lineman is different because first, they go straight for the legs right off the play where the lineman are most vulnerable due to their size, and second it is only illegal if another person engages you over the top (two on one) or if you do it from behind as that is clipping. I don't know if that makes any sense, but I hope I helped somewhat.
