Are stroboscopes unhealthy?

Just wondering, I just bought a stroboscoop to cheer my room a little up and I was wondering if the flashes actually damage you eyes or something

I read something about the effect of strobo's that effect your brain or something... But as long as you dont use it a few hours a day it will take at leats 10 years before you go epileptic

stroboscope is that flasher machine (with the with light??)...i have a black light in my room or whatever u call it..its really cool although at the begining my mother thought i was stoned coz she came in the room and saw me in my bed listening to some tracks and when she saw me eyes (u know they are white near a black light) she scared and i started to laugh...heheh...
