LOL and before sumone says sumthing.. this ain't about incest.. u sick muddaZ...
I think in a way 2002 will be remembered for the raping of the classic. Countless remakes & remix's were released which dosent bode well for trance in general. It was a so so year but my interest wandered away in the 2nd. how many remix's of cafe del mar can there be?!?!?!

the song that defined 2002 was IMO
hemstock & jennings ft john 00 fleming - nazarean
soo original...feels like i am watching the mummy movie
Best tracks of 2002:
Trance:
Driftwood - Freeloader
Altitude - Altitude (S.H.O.K.K. Remix)
Tomcraft - Lonliness
Hard Trance/House:
BK - Revolution
Stimulant DJs vs Mark Kavanagh - Work it out
Tony De Vit - I Don't Care (BK Remix)
Nu NRG - Universe
it's not mt fave, it doesnt define, but it just cries out 2002, or more specifically the whoel summer period of 2002.
Warrior - if you want me
3 top tracks of the year that I will remember forever:
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (DJ Tiesto Unreleased Remix)
Warrior - If You Want Me
Jurgen Vries - The Theme
If I had to choose one song that defined 2002, it would definitely be Ligaya. Like it or not...no other song was talked about more. At first people referred to it as being an epic song. Then people began to trash it. Either way there were hundreds of posts about it and I think when people look back at this year, Ligaya will stand out in their memory whether it be good or bad.

| Originally posted by slifedogg i have to agree that 2002 probably wont be remembered for any single anthem, but will remembered for the beginning of the remake period. i dont think its going to stop in 2003, so this would be a huge turning point in trance production. also the end of magik - beginning of the prog blend. |
southern sun (being a vocal track will stay for long)
jurgen vries - the theme (too catchy to go away.. will probably see it in cheap commercials on radio)
ligaya will be phased off.. it really sounds a lot like many other tunes out there..
