Aye,

Nice little shuffle thing going on, different alot.

Nice kick , id use another bass tho. Weird funny and different sounds a bit BxR'ish in build up!

Nicely suprised there by the melody too, sorta different and funny, played maybe a tad too long, you get a little tired of it, more variation. Else okay mastered, bass could use a tad in the low end.
A different experience, worth a check if youre tired by all the wannabe armin's and ferry's ;-D

I dunno if we'll have time to remix it, but send me some midi files and ill look at it

Cheers,
MaC

im a happy bunny

top man Mark West..resident DJ at Passion likes the track and has requested a cd-r of it so he can perhaps try it out at the club...This is gonna make my year if this comes about....Passion is the dogs bollocks!!!

Smiley DJ

Hi mate, just had a listen to The Passion, very nice tune indeed, can see McBigMac meant about the bass being a tad high but other than a good production.

Keep up the good work!

Nice tune, but, for some reason, I find that stop at 4 min a bit funny (when the melody suddenly stops). If you used a filter (or made the stop more subtle) it would be better, IMHO

cheers but i didnt want it too subtle. in a club i want it to mess with your head!!! ill give it some thought though...thanks..input always appreciated!! thats why its on here!

Good stuff!
Sound very "upfront" , u used Hardware for this one right?

Think it would be better if u added a extra layer with pads/strings.
Sounds a bit empty at times.

Cheers!

upfront and in your face (apart from the pad and bass it seems)

theres a nord modular pad in the back somewhere!! i thought it was loud enough. ill have a go turning it up!!!

all the synths are hardware apart from the bass....hmmm .......................................penny drops!!!!

bass problems eh!!!! hardware vs software!!!!! now you see!!!!
or i do rather!!!!

sounds like a job for the waldorf pulse (its fatter than many a mans mother!!!!!)
i havent slept since midday yesterday im convinced you are all out to kill me

the bass can wait......sleep beckons!!!

btw check out my website to see my kitlist (all the drums are logic audio platinum- exs24 sampler+logic plugins)

thank you for your input....i do care!!

Dancing Dude

ya got sum mint uplifting shite ere, excellently made & very vey prof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this cud easyly be released, well worth sending 2 the labels!!!!

Posted by Lakeus on Jan-05-2003 21:49:

Very nice track indeed, original and the production is excellent!!! The little arpeggios are very nice.... nearly all of the synth sounds are very original and "different"-sounding, nice tweaking on them also. I would have maybe hoped for some variation on the main melody but it is just my personal opinion.

You`ve got a very nice studio-setup BTW!

Best regards, Lakeus

Cool

this is defo your best but u know how much i like falling build up is its only weakness imo, needs more interest.

it would be nice to hear it encoded at a higher bitrate and a fair bit quieter as their is quite a lot of clipping...

Posted by Icone on Jan-05-2003 22:58:

I didn't like the buildup that much, but I lovethe sound on that main lead though!
The bassline feels a tad 'plumpy', perhaps if it's hardware as the rest, it could be deeper and more 'plucky'... If this makes sense hehe

Nice tune, but I don't know if it's 'the best'... But then again, there are no masterpieces falling out of heaven just like that... Trust me, I know

Cheers,
Wim/LW

nice....very nice... =) i thought only Airbase could make some badass shite on these forums, but its not true..... very quality work bro.. cheese to the minimal, i like it, but a bit too simple for me (im into progressive, smoked up shite, bro...so its my taste speaking right there)

The track is very energetic, kinda.....wakes you up... I like the FXs... especially that kinda...scratching sound...very nice...

Just listened to your "Falling" .... again, the quality is good... sounds pro as hell, but kinda boring =( (its my taste, again)

gonna listen to ur other tracks, and give u somemore feedback

Posted by -AbsurD- on Jan-05-2003 23:21:

Snowblind is probably my fav track =) the synths is awesome... i really liked the melody, and the FXs are very nice... the kick is kind of..too KICKy...lol =))

nice work =)

i know...the whole 'snowblind' tune needs an overhaul up to the 2 min mark, cos its a bit sparse!!! but at the mo, i figure ur not really gonna notice if its in a mix....i like the kick once the tune's kicked in proper (but i know what you mean...hehe)

Ive been in touch with Marc West from Passion again and hes heard the rest of the tracks now. He loves em all! im getting him a CD of them and hes gonna be playing them all at the club whenever hes on, which is fucking mint news!!!!! Jon o'bir (nuff respect!) has requested a cd too!!

im gonna go this weekend and check out how they sound on the passion sound system, which is bitchin!!!

i aint gonna change any of them till then....

The crowd in Passion is the best!! (COME ON PASSION!!!!) Im dying to see how they react to it!! i reckon 'snowblind' is gonna rip the roof off!!!

yo luke!! weve been here before havent we??? i dont understand this...

is anyone else having this problem? I mastered them to be in yer face but i cant hear (and didnt want!!!) any clipping my end. is it the whole thing or certain parts?? is it just 'The Passion' doing it?

Posted by Mod1 on Jan-08-2003 14:06:

ive got a rock hard lil loop thing going on at the mo that i wanted to use as a remix for someone...any interest.....all i need is a midifile of your main riff

Posted by mantisnl on Jan-08-2003 14:10:

hey there, pretty nice track

i like the percussion a lot, especially that shuffle!
what i don`t like is the bass.. its just 2 simple, try 2 use something original
nice fx ur using..
cool and original main lead, but it gets pretty boring after a while and could use some more power after the break..

nice proffesional sound

greetz,

dj mantis

theres gonna be more heavy filter sweeps on the next version and im gonna get a hardware synth on the bass duties

Posted by mantisnl on Jan-08-2003 14:25:

good and more power huh!

Posted by Luke Terry on Jan-08-2003 22:54:

Cool

erm, if u want u can remix redawn hehehe

btw, clipping, its just encoded too loud, if you load your track in a waveform editor, no part on the waveform should look blocky and look cut be the waveform edges, that is clipping, or load it in winamp, if you can see lots of the display bars hitting peak it's probably clipping, it will distort badly if u stick it on 100% volume too, hope that helped...
