Remind you of anything?
I have this lion in wallpaper-format, very beautiful. I don't know how to put it here, because it's on my harddisk....
How do I do that?
just me or does the pugy lion look like a walking zombie lion? look at its arms!!!
It's pretty much a standard symbol of royalty or something similar, similar to the use of the fleur de lis. I'm sure some british history buff would correct my and explain exactyly what it is. My highschool used it as its logo, so yeah my year 10 tshirt has the gate crasher logo on front. I think atelier also makes shirts with the logo on them, not sure if they are an aussie only brand though.
Gatecrasher have their own official clothing and stuff. I'm not sure if they sell it on their website but they sell it at events.
The lion's everyone! (heh, like Dark Angel
) Is there an official name for it?
It's called the Lion Rampant

The symbol of a lion has been used as a heraldry device for many centuries by Scottish Kings. It was the personal heraldic flag of 'William the Lion', of Scotland, and adopted as the Royal Standard since, by Robert Bruce, who although adapted the Arms, used 'the Lions', Rampant Lion, a great compliment by one great man to another! William I of Scotland (1165 - 1214) was known as 'The Lion', after he introduced the lion symbol into his coat of arms.
The Scottish lion is always shown on the royal shield, as being Rampant, ie: shown standing erect on the hind legs with the head in profile and forelegs extended.
There is a suggestion that perhaps the Kings of Scotland kept a real lion when in residence at the castles of Stirling and Edinburgh. Both castles have a building within the walls known as 'The Lions Den'.
