what is an application interview ... a job interview??? if thats it..basically they just want to find out about u .. u need to be able to read the interviewer and try to figure out what the company is looking for .. it varies from company to company. some want a team player who can work well in a group..others want very independent employees who need little direction .. if it is a corporate environment .. ur supposed to wear a dark blue or grey suit for interviews .. just be urself and make sure u brag about urself as much as possible, but dont seem precocious ... tell them about all your skills and why u r the best person for the job .. dont hold back .. also remember to ask a lot of questions, because not only are they interviewing you, but u are interviewing them to see if this is a place that you will like to work. do not talk about salary or benefits unless they offer you the job or unless they bring it up first.

good luck

Just make sure you dress nicely, and be polite to make a good impression. Try to sell yourself to the university, let them know your credentials and such WITHOUT sounding like you have an ego. And relax....being nervous makes things worse. It shouldn't be too bad, so don't worry!! Good luck!!!

well said.... that usually can be presented in an essay...but since it's an interview... just be sure to give a good first impression...
good luck.

don't tell the person that the school in particular is your fall-back school (my friend)
don't tell that you've been already accepted to another prestigious school (another friend of mine)
don't stare at her boobs (me)

I think its important to dress well from shoes, all the way up to your hair. No pink, or other colors. Clean cut is good too.

Make sure you make a good impression. The first 10 minutes are crucial. Make eye contact and answer the questions, dont BS, be truthful.

if ur going to one of the top schools, it's always good to tell them ur intentions and why the school is the best option for u, like how can u make the most out of the school, u should tell them that

VERY TRUE!
if the interview lasts 15 min. i think you should be a little worried. if you make a good impression in the first 10, then the interviewer would be interested and it should last around 40 min.
I was pretty nervous with mine but it's really no big deal.
BAsically, it's a casual conversation rather than a question answer form.
most importantly: SOUND ENTHUSIASTIC about life
g luck
