European TA's! Tell me where to go! Making trip in May!
Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to Europe from around mid-May to the end of May. I've only been to London so I don't know shit about Europe.
We'll probably be flying into London and stay there for a few days. Then we'll probably go to Amsterdam, then Paris, then maybe Barcelona.
Are these good cities to see? Does anyone have any good tips on where to go in these cities? We were thinking about Prague too but is it far?
Where can we party? Know any good clubs or bars? Does anyone know if any major DJ's are going to be in any of these cities around that time?
More importantly, does anyone know any good hotels? I'd prefer to not stay in a hostel. I'd like to shack up with my girl at night without someone else in the top bunk, knowwhatimean? And I'd like to have my own bathroom.
Also, I don't speak a lick of French or Dutch. Some Spanish. But I hear English is still used somewhat in the cities.
Is May a good time to go? What's the weather like?
For a trip to about 3 or 4 cities is Eurorail the way to go? Or can I just get cheap flights?
Any help is appreciated!
Go to Amsterdam:
-we all speak English
-Legalized weed
-Holland = trance nation
-Red Light District
-Euro is cheaper than English Pound
-It rains too much in London
-Beautyful 17th century city centre

You should definately visit Prague! I've been there last summer, and it's not only the most beautifull city I've ever seen, but it's also a great place to go clubbing (for one night, cause they only have 1 big club, and that's only worth visiting on saturday's
).
And for a first time holland, I think you can enjoy yourself in Amsterdam (don't go to Eindhoven, PSV sucks

)

Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris are all wonderful cities to visit. and the people will most likely speak english. but it's not just the big cities that speak english, in every country almost anyone can speak english.
one tip concerning money, the european current is as strong as the dollar, 1 dollar = 1 euro
1 pound = 1.5 dollar
do not read american brochures cuz they aren't true. i saw one saying Switzerland was a country which was very dangerous, especially their capital called Schweiz, Schweiz is Switzerland, but in their language
