but, as always, there's a catch... after a few clicks on the website, sure enough, it was there:

"If you are selected as one of the 50 beta-testers, you will receive an MC-i250 set free, delivered to your home address. In return, all you have to do, is to use the set for an 8-week period. At the end of week 1 and week 8, we will send you an on-line questionnaire so that you can share with us your experience of the Streamium MC-i250. It�s that simple!"

50!? lol.. slim chances

you think the term "beta tester" beans getting something for free and not having to do something about it?

its not a catch, they give them out to judge opinions on them from the public to see what needs to be changed for the final production release.

all they do is send you a questionnaire or something. whoop-dee-doo. beats the hell out of shelling out $500+, even if it IS a beta version. it would most likely work very well. though beta is beta, it's not like there's a HUGE jump from beta to release. beta is pre-release - if anything, there will be minor aesthetic changes or something like that.

i'm a lazy bum so i'm not going to apply for this, besides i have kickass speakers in any case.

but it would be stupid to miss out on this great opportunity - get clicking ppl
