Some Humo(u)r for us Political TA's

During a conference at the United Nations (UN), the representatives were asked, "Please express your opinion regarding food shortages in other countries around the world."

However, there were some difficulties among the representatives in answering this question.

Africa did not understand the word "food".
Western Europe did not understand the word "shortages".
Eastern Europe did not understand the word "opinion".
Latin America did not understand the word "please".
And the USA did not understand the phrase "other countries around the world".
