-- delete your own threads?

delete your own threads?

maybe the ability to delete your own posts in all forum sections should be added

these days, when the forums are so damn slow, it's easy to get double/triple posts

and instead of pming mod/waiting for a mod to discover the doublepost etc, you can do it yourself

i find it quite annoying to not be able to delete my own threads when i manage to post a doublepost.

dont have to make it possible to delete the threads if there are any replies in them, but as long as they are empty, why not?

don't think it will hurt nobody + it will save the mods/person who doublepost for time

so either swamper gotta fix my account or consider my suggestion hehe

you can delete all your own posts but only within a time frame of some many days (i forget).

Only other time is when your post is the first post (the one that starts the thread) and someone else has posted in it, because then u are trying to delete someone elses post and cannot. but for normal post deleation, aslong as its in the time frame you 'should' be allowed to do it.

Hey Coup, I don't know about the other users, but I can delete my threads/first posts, no matter how many people have replied

Vermie, here's a hint: till someone finds out what's going on, if you want to delete the post, just edit it and write:

and it should work

However, if you can't even edit your posts, that's because the "edit/delete" time already expired (I think it's one month), so just pray that nobody will read it

I think this is actually a bug with the forums.

I have noticed that experienced members cannot delete their own threads, as well as mods as well.

I think there is a problem somehwere swamper, that needs to be fixed

coup: im talking about doubleposts, which i usually try to delete within a minute after posting it
so the time limit is not exceeded at all

the fact is just that i can't delete any posts at all, except in some forums (at least it was like that before, might be that i can't delete at all now), no matter if i posted it 1 min ago or 2 days ago

there is something buggy with my account, and it's a bit annoying

@maaz: that's what i usually do, but still i want to be able to delete my threads..
