Stanton STR8 100
Any1 have any experiance with this TT ?
i am concidering of Selling my technics SL1200 and buy this one since it has more pitch ...
As far as I know, that is a decent table, though the techs are much better! You can open up your tech and make the pitch range a bit higher if you want! Look for a post in this forum entitled how does PVD spin his sets so fast, or something to that effect. I believe that it goes into detail about how you can make your techs faster. If not there, then use a search, but it was defintely in this forum less than two months ago.
i love my Str8-100's with my life, but Tech 1200's are the standard so it's really up to you, and just like was mentioned earlier you can change the pitch on Tech1200's as well.

I already posted the answer to that question. the stanton is a decent table, but the techs are better. I suggest that you go to a dj/hobby/music store like sam ash or mars music etc, whatever is in your area...look it up in the phone book and go and test it out. DOn't forget to bring a couple of records with you!
i love my str8 100. the high pitch option comes in handy SOO many times. i havent had any problems on it and the torque is nice, comparable to the techs. might not be a good idea to lose your techs if you want to play somewhere
the Str8-100 are good, but of course nothing beats the standard durable TEchs. I suggest you stay with the Techs, you'll become use to the Str8-100 and the extra pitch and then if you ever play in a club you'll be screwed. The extra pitch is useless in my opinion, you can easily just slow the other track down if its too fast for the song that you're trying to mix in. I wouldn't suggest modifying your Techs either because your pitch adjustment will no longer be accurate, because you're trying to increase the pitch range over the same lentgh of the pitch slider, in other words beat matching will become much harder.
stanton str8-100 kick techs ass
just my opinion though please don't flame, but I do agree that you might be better off staying with what you have because if you play in clubs most probs they'll have techs
