I have the slim 350 and its a pretty bad ass piece of hardware. More like a portable HD rather than a mp3 cd player.

i believe it's just the sexy look + remote, but i think you can get the remote separately on the iriver's website for $30 and it works for either player (i think)

otherwise, the quality is the same - top notch!
