Three questions: 1) Who's going to see JOOF at Surface,
2) you guys wanna meet up beforehand, good to know whos from Ottawa when making trips to Aria, so we can hook up with rides.
3) who's going to see Sander cuz I'm going with Meat, and rides will be available.

wicked news that you are coming with me to see Sander K....and there are great seat available in my car..for those interested

with regards to JOOF at Surface, it depends on finances. I have a $359 speeding ticket to pay....stupid OPP and their Freakin' speed traps on the stupid 401

$359?

1) As I said in the other JOOF thread, I'll probably go. Im fairly certain I will have the funds. I'll know for sure buy Saturday (day after second installment of tuition is due). I dont want to have to pay more late fees bacause OSAP cant process a loan application in less than 3 months.

2) I suppose we could all meet at On Tap since its next door.

3) As much as I like going to Montreal with you guys (Thanks again for the ticket, Alec, and the ride, MEAT. Much appreciated), I know i wont have the funds.

lol.. I just got a $230 ticket from the Surete du Quebec!! Those jokers have no mercy on Ontario drivers! I got so upset I just ordered a radar detector from e-bay. Should help me out allot unless they are using laser. In which case it will already be too late when the thing goes off. But I figure if it saves me once it�s worth it!

Meat, where on the 401 did you get your ticket? You have to be careful around Napanee.. They hang out on the rock faces!

Make sure you dont use the radar detector in Ontario because they are illegal. OPP officers have radar detector detectors in their cruisers. If you are caught with one, it will be confiscated because you have Ontario plates.

I dont know the law in Quebec concerning them though.

They are illegal in both provinces. But the new radar detectors are invisible to �radar detector detectors� lol The cops use VG2 to detect if you have a detector.. Most good new detectors and VG2 stealth.

I got my ticket on my way towards London ontario yesterday morning...Just outside Oakville......stupid cops were sitting on the far side of a sharp bend in the road....worst part was that I was going fast ONLY so that i could make it to London in time for an interview....which i made it to with 10 minutes to spare

freakin' ticket was for going 154 over...but they bumped it down to 149...so I saved 2 demerit points and a few bucks..but still....359 is too much money

anyone know how this might affect my insurance rates?

To this point, I have been driving for 9 years with this being my 2nd speeding ticket. The first one was 4 years ago for going 15 over...so NO demerit points for that one.

OK...my new plan is this...no more speeding...that's it....127 km/h is my new MAX.....forget going 160 or 170....none of that no more...i can afford it.

It�s a good thing they put it down to 49 over.. 50 over is usually a suspension and 6 points. Plus you insurance WILL go up if you are doing 50 over�

You�re insurance will not go up unless you have at least 2 tickets with points. I�m not sure how long it stays on your insurance record but it stays on the ministries for 2 years.

I�d say fight your ticket. There is ample information on the net to help your prove your case. http://www.magma.ca/~fyst/ is a great start and it an Ottawa site as well (although it seems to be down right now)

3. Hellzzz YES!!!! I think transportation into Montreal is taken care of, but coming back (and on what day) is still in question.

Hopeully I'll run into both of you, Alec and MEAT, at the Sander K show.

I was at surface last time for J00F. Pretty good night, john laid down some nice tunes, espicially at the end. Anyways sorry i wont see you guys there this time, Im catching him the night before in MTL with marco V and staying there the hole weekend. Tell me next time when you guys head down to surface i can probably get you in free.

I'll be at surface saturday night but I'm heading there late. I'm heading out for a friends bday before.
Not going to Sander though.

Ill be going to see marco and j00f on friday in montreal and probably see j00f again at surface on saturday.. I have a bunch of buddies im going up with.. ill let you guys know if im going to have any more room in my car
