les joueurs gagnent encore comme des bébés gatés...

Posted by Czaoth on Jan-17-2003 19:16:

Posted by Czaoth on Jan-17-2003 19:34:

lol let me take a guess, soccer!

Posted by torontotrance on Jan-17-2003 19:47:

They were not winning....so management made a decision to shake things up. Every coach knows that being a coach has no job security.

Posted by alec on Jan-17-2003 21:10:

Soccer is the best sport without a doubt, GLASGOW RANGERS all the way. Except its better called football as you actually use your feet to control the ball, unlike american football!

Posted by alec on Jan-17-2003 21:42:

Exactly, whose is this michel guy (isn't that a girls name?) so you want a real coach, Jacques Martin, now there's a good coach

Posted by alec on Jan-17-2003 23:58:

Football is one of the most impressive sports to watch, and if you've played, you can really appreciate the talent required at the proffesional level, other cool sports to watch on the prof level: badminton, ping pong, volleyball and thai volleball(played with only feet!)

Pfffff

did someone said thai volleyball ?

pour etre honnete avec vous, Therien avait plus l'air du PARRAIN que d'un coach de hockey

Posted by Czaoth on Jan-19-2003 06:07:

a big part of Montreal's problem in my eyes is that they are stubborn in stocking their team with francophone players/coaches instead of taking the best option available. Who cares anyways, Oakland Raiders all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by discojoe on Jan-19-2003 20:53:

While i will admit Therien made some terrible mistakes and was a pretty bad coach all around the team has to take some blame. I couldnt believe how poorly they played at the beginning of the leafs gane.
Dont get me started on soccer. While I admit it can be an entertaining sport it is very flawed. I'v seen so many games where one team dominates the entire game gets a few shots and then the other team hoofs a penalty kick and wins the game. It gets so silly that so many goals are scored on insignificant plays and mistakes and not skilled plays. And sometimes it seems like you go through an entire game and not a shot is taken. How exciting is that? What's so exciting about watching 80 minutes of midfield play? It doesnt happen all the time but man when it does is it ever boring

Anyway i must admit i sometimes follow the premier league and the spanish la liga and root for teams like barca and liverpool over the big spenders. ( And I HATE the Italian team because of the gino school i went to.) And the world cup is always exciting to watch because you have no idea whats going to happen. France will always have a place in my heart after they burned the azuri in the 98 world cup when the cocky arrogant italian punks were running up and down the field waving their shirts. It was so satisfying watching the pansies cry after they lost.. and then shoving it down my gino friends' throats for the next week.

ps. GO SENS
pss. lets just hope they're still here to win the the cup this year.

only a week??? damn, I still do it when I see my italian friend, or when they lost to korea mouhahahaha

I agree with you about a game that stalls in the midfield, but thats either because both teams are either too weak or too strong. if they are both strong it makes an excellent suspensful game!
