Binary Fakery!!!!!!!

Sucks, i found out last night through a friend. His keyboard or somthing broke before club mundo and he was faking the whooooooooooole fucking set!!!!! he was playing a DAT tape of a set he did 3 years back in europe. This is a horrible thing. I dont care if he had to cancel the night i feel soo cheated. Literally me Tae and Akko kissed his ass for an hour telling him how amazing his set was, and he just nodded and agread with us

fucking ****...i mean playing a pre-recorded dat tape is one thing, but FAKING it???? damn... but it couldnt have been a set binary did 3 years ago cuz Niterider didnt come out 3 years ago..it came out in 2001..

like I told John before, Binary arent the 1st to do this. Oaky played a 45 minute DAT @ Avalon last year and Nick Warren layed a 45 minute premixed cd. Its not the 1st time and it wont be the last

yeah..i was thinking it couldn't have been a set from 3 yrs ago too..well if this is true..it's too bad that he couldn't do a "real" live pa but i guess i'll be more upset if he was a "dj" playin a mix cd..
i've never heard binary's set before so (since i could never find his set online for me to dl)...even if it was pre-recorded..i guess i was happy to hear it in a club enviorment...(am i being too nice about it??? )

you all need to stop and think before you start assuming things... and you should stop believing every little thing you hear, especially with partial evidence... it's just not a smart idea.

sure, i'm sure it's true that djs Have and will prerecord sets and play it etc.... but binary finary aka ricky grant wasn't faking it.

i talked to ricky grant for 3 long hours the following night after the performance and yes, he told SOME of his equipment got rattled while coming over here but no, not all of it was broken and he was taken out to get a new piece for the set...he had a sequencer, synth, mixer and dat recorder, i saw it for myself. why would he be faking it anyway? please you guys, i'm about 99% sure that what you're saying is not true.

ok I didn't want to post any names but I will for 1 reason. What he did was not fair at all! I took Maria out on a date last night the girl who brought Binary to Mundo, she and Victor Dinare told me to my face that his equitment broke and he had to play a Pre~ Recorded DAT Tape. I am not sure if it was from 3 years ago or 3 months ago but I am sure that he didn'/t play jacksquat that night. This is a very unfair thing to do and it should be looked down upon in out club culture.

There is nothing wrong with playing a 45 minute "track" or premixed cd. A dj has to take a number 2 potty break sometime or another. But a whole set prerecorded is absurd. That totally defeats the purpose of going. You should get your money back or sue. It would be hard to prove though.

if they are only spinning for an hour and a half and 45 minutes of it is pre-recorded you dont see anything wrong with that???

shit, if thats the case, Ill collect my 35 grand and pop in a dvd-r for 8 hours

You need to read what I said again. Of course half a set is wrong. A hole set is, again I say absurd. I was thinking of those long 6+ hour sets Tiesto and PvD sometimes play. When nature calls, what are you going to do?

well, i dont DJ myself, but i would figure if that happened, the dj would prepare a decently long song to play and as soon as its all set, he would mix it then proceed to the potty... and hope he just doesn't have the shits.

yeah...i read about this....they mix in a tune then RUN, and then they RUN back.....i dunno...ask luna, maybe she can ask one of them big dj's how they do it

When i spin in my house...I mix in Aria - Dido and bolt my ass off to the shitter. Sometimes I get hungry when mixing so I get a quick bite to eat.
