Dancing Dude steve strangis & dave begic groupie reporting!!! :)

w00t!
they didn't dissapoint, as i knew they wouldn't!!!!!
what a blast!!!
f00kin brilliant!!
got in a bit after 1 to the sound of some good techazzz, found euphorica@aus (paul) straight away and instantly remembered him from high school which was mad! saw steve, getting ready with his armin poses hehe. dave turned up and brought another one of my mates from high school so i was thrilled to see him there too! then stipsy came as well with a mate, it was the melbourne auTA wog division hehe

they came on at 2:30 and started off with rank 1 - airwave! which i didnt recognise at first hehe. and with a beginning like that, u know the rest of the night is gonna be just as good!! so many tunes!!!! w00t!!!!! i was having a ball!! lol i think paul likes madagascar when it came on he went spastic! he jumped on the table in front of the dj booth waving his hands in the air going "come on!!!!!!" to the crowd, it was a pisser. haha i did the same thing later on when 'yet another day (hiver & hammer remix)' was played, singing the words, i probably looked like the biggest stoner or gurner you ever saw hehe.

fark what an awesome night! they played for 2 and a half hours, some brilliant tracks, the crowd was loving it, the djs were loving it, everyone loved it! hehe after a while i think most people who were still there were sitting down and i was like going off by myself in the middle of the dancefloor hehe but i didnt care, i was enjoying myself so thats all that matters!
steve!
dave!
love ya work!!!
keep it up guys!!

here are the tracks i remember being played, just for u mark

rank 1 - airwave
jan johnston - flesh (tiesto remix)
matt darey - moody ? not 100% sure about this though

energy 52 - cafe del mar (j00f remix)
dj tiesto - suburban train
delerium - silence (tiesto remix)

Non - stop peaking for sure.

Tune of the nite had to be

Art of Trance - Madagascar

special mention to Silence - Delirium <-----------even the HK trippas were singing along.

But Melb TA's no farken excuse. Its free and u hear absolutely banging and euphoric trance tunes. If i paid 20 dollars i wouldnt be complaining. SO in 2 weeks i think get ure arses down there and support the boys.

P.S. Not even John Macenroe try hard at front could spoil it

Next time I am SO f**king there. Damn. Phil, I'm betting that Ferry track that you thought might have been Solstice was East West - The Love I Lost.

*cries harder*

And yes download East West - The Love I Lost, fuck it's an AWSOME TUNE!!

Posted by webmeister on Jan-19-2003 06:07:

Yes - Diggs & Morro played it on Friday night, but for some reason their vinyl was labelled Ayu - Connected

Maybe I have a mislabelled MP3?

Posted by SQ-K on Jan-19-2003 09:29:

Yeah, Ayu - Connected (Ferry Corsten Dub) is exactly the same track as East West - The Love I Lost. WICKED track.

They play Melodic, Uplifting Trance

(or so they say)

Posted by webmeister on Jan-19-2003 10:29:

Yes Diggs & Morro play melodic, uplifting trance (and they're damn good at it too )

So you have an idea, these are some of the tracks they spun on Friday night at Altitude:

Exposure - Magic Impuls
East West - The Love I Lost aka Ayu - Connected
Kirsty Hawkshaw - Fine Day (Mike Koglin Mix)
Yoji Biomehanika - Theme from Banginglobe (System F Mix)
Hiver & Hammer - Five Million Miles
Infexious - Let Me Fly
Armin - Communication
Dumonde - Tomorrow
Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth
Mesh - Persuasion

Jon/Phil, can u guys think of any others?

A couple of these might've been played by other DJs, my memories are a little hazy but these are all tracks I definitely heard on Friday night. As u can see they tend to play newer stuff, but with a couple of classics thrown in for good measure

They are both pretty cool ppl as well, very relaxed and easy to chat to

Posted by SteveStrangis on Jan-19-2003 14:56:

Diggs & Morro are on the ball!
They are gonna have a great time in Brisbane
