What is the first trance anthem ever made ????
???
There's no such thing: music kept evolving and one day anthems appeared
Besides, there's also anthem house, so it's hard to decide what was what in the beginning
wots anthem?
For me personally, the first trance anthem is Cygnus X - Superstring [Rank 1 Remix]. There probably are a lot of anthems which are older (Caf Del Mar, 7 Cities, ...), but this track is the first one I labelled as anthem.
airwave innercity 1999 it think
thats a real anthem for me
System F - Out Of The Blue. It's from '98 but was released in '99. This is often seen as the blueprint of the characteristic trance sound from the past few years.

Not a first, but I consider Veracocha- Carte Blanche (Original Mix) an anthem.

Angelli and Nelson - Everyday
Agnelli and Nelson - El nino

Energy 52 - Caf del Mar
System F - Out of the blue
Veracocha - Carte Blanche
Robert Miles - Children
Push - Universal Nation

The first trance tracks to have the hands in the air anthemic feel to them I remember are:
Ariel - Deep (I'm Falling Deeper) (Red Jerry Remix) (1996)
Vincent De Moor - Flowtation (1996)
Digital Blondes - Antheum (1996) *Hence the title*
Moonman - Don't Be Afraid (1996)
1996 was the year that the general hands in the air anthem formula started. Most tracks of this style were coming from Holland and to put it simple words, generally having an overall more energetic feel than the more dreamy and laid back style which was most common with trance at that period. This style existed in average numbers over those years but never really took off until late 1998.
That's the way I see it anyway.
Kosmonova - Ayla
DMX - Ruff ryder's anthem lol jk
