Also i have XP 1800
and swapping for XP 2000

Not worth it... The difference between PC2100 and PC2700 ram is a beesdick, ditto with Athlon XP 1800 and 2000. Ur current MSI mobo is better than the Epox. altho for an extra $300, it is better as ur gettting new moniter + 3d card.

yae well, im not going to put a DVD rom back in there, so thats 80bux off
so im oweing 220 for the nu system. and i love my msi board.. but yea the 19" and the gf4 is why i wanna do it..

so overall its a reasonable swap ey?

Yeah seems like a reasonable swap .. you're certainly not getting ripped off or anything...

You might find that the 19" is a tad big.. Usually you end up with headaches when you stare at them 4 too long (Something about your eyes not able to focus outside the screen area) But that's upto you

It definately worth upgrading from a XP1800 to the XP2000, the performace upgrade is not worth the price

This is also true for your ram, the performace difference between 2100 and 2700 DDR Ram does not reflect the price between them.

The only thing i would be looking to swap is the graphics card (If your really a keen gamer who wants high performance or someone who does graphic design/rendering) and the monitor if you want them, but as for the rest, i'd save my money for an upgrade later (Mabie in a year or so) that is really worth it.

Hope that helps.
Cheers.

it's an OK deal...as webby said you u are not getting ripped or anything but u don;t gain much either.

BTW epox is problem prone, get a new board if possible.

...and don't forget invest in a good set of speakers if u don;t have seperate amps for dj-ing.

my reccomendation is logitech z-480, u can get them for around $250 these days and boy they fucken rock and beat half of them decent dedicated amps anyday
