Ever end up skipping school/work cuz of a party the night before?

Just wondering if any of you still do this? I haven't done it in a while (since those Wednesdays years ago @ Tonic) so I was curious if any of you have done this recently?

Although sometimes you're forced to go to work/school the next day and you're a wreck, but that's another story

My plan is to come in late....sleep a bit longer....haven't taken a whole day off for a few years!

I don;t do it as often any more (cause I don't go out as often) but I just went to work the next day, tried my best not to crash and then crash once I get home.

yup....done it before.....I'll do it again.

When i went to see Hardwick I went to work, from work i went strait to Hardwick, and then after Hardwick I went strait to work.

but i remember my staff and I went to Liqiud A@BLC, next morning we had a staff metting.

Funniest shit is seeing your co-workers on E@ the party ... and then all sketched out of their minds at a staff meeting at 9am the next day

And for me ... SOBER MASSIVE all the way !!!

it's funny .. cuz there have been instances when I've bumped into co-workers randomly at parties before only to find out that they too ended up at work the next day. Personally I don't want or try to skip work/school cuz of a party, instead i've gone in fatigued and underproduced.

There have been instances however tho, when music and partying have jeopordized my academic status and hampered my ability to focus at work. Something I really have to restrain from doing.

partying fucks up my work royally but i couldnt give a shit. i pay good money so that i can be unionized and do whatever the hell i want .

its never jepordized my school tho nor will i let it

and i usually went directly to work from a party

There's been so many times where I went straight to work after a party with no sleep whatsoever. Funny thing is I don't feel tired until when I get home from work and then sleep like a pig.

last time i did this was to see johan gielen at limelight...but i just skipped my morning classes

then again highschool is bullshit anyways, so i didn't really miss much

I've done this too many times to count. I've learned to create a schedule that caters to my party addiction. Unfortunetly class and I don't get along to well and I tend to look for any excuse to miss it; sleep being the biggest culprit. I gotta stop that.

Work on the other hand is another story. Cause skipping it to party generally would get me fired.

soooo many times... the things is when you come back home at 9-10 am (yeah those damn after hours), you go to bed and wake up at 5-6 pm sunday, then you stay late and can't go to sleep before 5-6 am :/ and your sleep schedule is messed up, you then miss all the classes starting before noon for the rest of the week

I "used" to do it all the time because of FTWK @ Tonic (when I lived 500m away), but since I moved to the north end of the city it's been less and less. And before Tonic it was Wednesday @ Limelight (when they played hard house/trance).

However, about 5 months ago, I was out at a bar and someone I met there said they knew of an after-hours place that served until 6am, so I went on Tuesday night and couldn't make it into work the next day.

This doesn't happen that frequently anymore because most of the parties worth going to are on Friday or Saturday - but I hear that there is going to be a party @ Guv on a Thursday (I forget who), so I just _may_ have to take the Friday off..

what i usually do when i get home is refuse to go to sleep until that night. cause if i do i know it will screw up my sleep cycle for a week. thats what happend for Talla and Tiesto. i was a zombie for the whole week.

man, it is just impossible not to crash on the bed... it is so tempting... anyways fuck school, i'm done with it!

my weekends are basically friday through monday now, since i do shit at school on friday cuz i'm so psyched for the weekend, party my ass off on the weekend, and sleep straight through all my classes on monday. it's been like that since the new year, lol. so not good.

If i know i'm gonna be going to a party i will book off that night and the next day My work knows that i need to book off days for parties! There is no way i could go to work after a party. I would be way too tired.. I need my sleep!!!

Tell me about it... the last time I pulled off something like that was for GUV's 5 year anniversary with PVD on a Wednesday, then crashing at my buddy's place for an hour, and then going to a lecture at 8am... plus I "forgot" to hand in some assignments, missed out on a whole lot of other stuff, and from that point on the shit just went down big time!

Then again, now I've learned to control myself, and I don't go out that much and don't stay that long when I do go out, since I don't feel like gambling with my academic status again. Especially when I am paying for it from my own pocket...

i'm lucky this semester cuz i don't have any class on monday which means i have a 3 days week-end but it's still fuckin up my sleeping cycle

last august armin van buuren was playing @ aria , i spent the whole time inside the booth with him and then i took his vinyl case from the main room till the taxi he took for his hotel , and 5 minutes later i was at work taking customers' phone calls insane and i was stinking like hell ... souvenirs

I always book the day off after the party for sleep/rest otherwise I'd be FUCKED (esp at work). Only time I didn't was for PvD on that Wed in 2001...I had class at 10am and somehow made it in...I was dead. So now I book off the day way in advance or just not stay too late. (like I did for Guv's 6 year anniv for last year)
