the best

The best mix program for the pc in my opinion is still VTT (Virtual TurnTabels) it's really easy to use but it works perfect
When you have 2 soundcards it's just like you have 2 turntabels and you can mix like a real DJ.
you can see al the DJ programs at this site http://www.mp3machine.com/win/MIXING-DJ/

don't wanna start a debate.. but mp3 mixing.. just doesn't... hmmmmmm
give that same "feel" as vinyls..
and it is easier? with all the added functions, etc..
agree or disagree.. thats my opinion

can someone send me those 2 programs through icq? my number is 40357535.

i'll be using them for personal purposes only... so... please send!

thanks to everybody who responded!

and i know mp3 isn't "the real thing" but i'm just a trance addict so i'm not really a deejay... so i'll stick 2 mp3

a computer interface (mouse+keyboard) will hardly come close the the "feel" of vinyl, but that's allright aslong as you use computer mixing for hobby or to learn basics

most mp3 live-mixing software is a joke now. It's all about auto-bpm & what advanced features can make you "sound like a pro-dj in no time w/o effort". One of the main reasons I still support using VTT over other mp3 "dj" programs is because you can beatmatch manually using your ears & the pitch controls (jogwheel/pitchslider). Doing this takes some time to master, id even imagine it being more cumbersome than real decks to handle. (remember- you're pushing a mouse on a jogwheel instead of a nice rotating platter! )

Get VTT, for the closest "DJing experience" on a PC. (meaning: you can rely your ears rather than a lame autobpm calculator)

or

Get Traktor, if you think it would be so-totally-awesome to beatmatch/mix by clicking a sync button. (booooooo!!)

your choice!
(btw, i got tha hookup for vtt... PM me!)

more software...

I got another question too actually... isn't there any live special effects software? I've never seen a program that allows you to put a phase or an instant loop on your output...

i mean, the 100$ stereo my girlfriend has is included with a groove button or something like that...

or maybe a simple sample player?...

I've got BPM Studio too but I find it... too complex for real live mixing....

MJ Studio is good for live mixing, and very easy, but you don't get samples and stuff.... or decent playlist control.

THX peepz.

BTW, If you have Mixing Software just mail it to [email protected] (I dunno how much MB my mail account is, but this is the one from my Cable provider, think it's ok if the fils are < 5 MB)

Still waiting for Traktor & VTT retail

THX TA Rulez!
