Unhappy idle downloads/uploads from/to ftp - what to do ?

When I download or upload something from an ftp, it's going for some time until it stops and becomes idle. The only way to continue the action is to click 'cancel', then it says 'lost connection, reconnect?' or something. If I'm downloading it isn't as bad because I usually can resume, but it's much worse with uploads, especially when I don't have permission to delete files - the file was uploaded until I was kicked, it's incomplete and I can neither resume or delete it. I use Windows/Total Commander.

Is there something I can do about it ?

Well i use smart ftp, get it free from anywhere, heh. www.google.com

Anyway sounds like it is a problem with the ftp client u use. Try using smart ftp, u can resume uploads and downloads with it. So might sort yr problem
