Remix of sandstorm, maybe?

Hi, I realise this is going to be tough to ID without a sample, but I might as well give it a go anyway.
I'm looking for a track that has a few notes in common with Darude's Sandstorm....i've given these notes in the sample (I'm talking about the melody notes in the piercing synth sound, not the background notes or chord changes). The difference is that in this unknown track the notes are deeper, lower pitched and much rougher sounding.

The other key thing is that instead of breaking into the 'sandstorm' tune, this track breaks into something completely different...it breaks into a broken-chord melody sequence with dutch-style synths. The sandstorm tune is never heard in this track.

So I'm not sure if its a Sandstorm remix or not. If you think you know what it is, please get back to me!

2000 canaries - sunseeker

Posted by nightguy on Jan-26-2003 10:10:

nice try...matches my description well but i'm afraid its not this track. Sunseeker is too similar to Sandstorm....the one I'm looking for is quite different but does share a few notes in common but with different synths.

well this kinda reminds me of a song... which i dont know the title to.. but it has like a little talking... is there any talking or singing in it

Posted by nightguy on Jan-27-2003 22:07:

actually, i can't remember if there's any talking. there's no singing though.

I can't download your song right now since I'm in the library, but I remember being at a school dance and someone thought this song they were playing was a remix of sandstorm but it turned out to be Laut Sprecher - Omnibus, which uses apparently the exact same synth sound. If your song has no lyrics maybe there's a remix of this I don't know about... hope you find your song!

Posted by nightguy on Feb-01-2003 23:04:

sorry, its not this one either! But 'Omnibus' does sound scarily like Sandstorm...

ATB vs. Darude - the fields of love / sandstorm
the two tracks are overlaid on top of one another

Posted by joeh on Feb-03-2003 21:30:

Darude - Feel the Beat is like Sandstorm a bit.

gtr vs the shrink - nervous breakdown (gtr trance mix)

maybe

Ralph Fridge- Mystery (Pornostar Remix)

Definitly, i noticed the amazing resembelence off the 'dig a dig a' bits when i heard it too

Posted by popop on Feb-05-2003 13:15:

WELL??????

what is it ?

Posted by nightguy on Feb-05-2003 22:40:

I'm having great trouble finding the pornostar mix! I've got the club version, which doesnt sound like what I'm looking for. I trust the remix is different though. It certainly isn't Feel the Beat and its not ATB either. Its not the Shrink. Am currently searching the Pornostar mix on Audiognome and Grokster but have had no luck so far

Posted by popop on Feb-06-2003 01:33:

i have it, i got it from u know where its in there

if u cant get it there, check for popop on soulseek and msg me or msn me [email protected]

the pornstar mix is nowt like the other mixes

from trancemaster 26 a track called
2000: Canarias - Sunseeker

I think someone posted it, but here it is again...

Posted by nightguy on Feb-08-2003 22:56:

soulseek seems to be down so i'll have to msn you for the Fridge - Mystery track, if that's OK.
Sunseeker does sound like sandstorm, but its not the track I'm looking for.

Try Lautsprecher

Posted by nightguy on Feb-09-2003 23:57:

Sorry, its not Mystery (Pornostar Mix) and its not Lautsprecher either! The riff in these two are both too high pitched. I'm looking for a low pitched and rough sounding riff.

Posted by trintiy on Feb-10-2003 17:09:

This might sound stupid but have you tried the Superchumbo Sandy Sandstorm mix. It's got kind of a rough tribal sound to it.

Posted by nightguy on Feb-15-2003 22:49:

Sorry, its not this either.

have you checked Feel the beat [ JS 16 dark mix ]? sounds quite a bit like what you're talking about (especially from 2.05-2.45- full track is 7.06). Actually, you can hear a pretty good clip of it on www.darude.com - go to gallery, music, then click on "Feel the beat ( JS16 remix )" under the Before the Storm, album section. If it's not that, check some of Darude's remixes (pulled the list from his website):
Blank & Jones: Beyond Time
JDS: Nine Ways
Barcode Brothers: Dooh Dooh
Bleaching: Peaking
ATB feat. York: Fields Of Love
Rising Star: Touch Me
Thrillseeker: Synastasia
Boom!: Boys vs. Girls
DJ Alligator Project: Lollypop
Safri Duo: Played-A-Live

have you tried

mindmaster - therapie (pedro del mar mix)

its got the same sandstormy doo-doo-doo-doo-doo but it breaks out into something different.

give it a shot see if thats it. if you cant get it, i can get it to you, just reply.

Posted by nightguy on Mar-04-2003 19:53:

Its not mindmaster...although its closer in feel to any of the other attemps so far. Its on the right track. The only thing is that the 'doo-doo-doo-doo-doo' bit in the track I'm looking for was in the bass, and in a low, rough, growling tone. The bit it breaks out into is heavy dutch-trance style, sort of like the feel of Carte Blanche. I doubt its by Darude now...the track was too different from his normal stuff. Please keep trying!

i heard about a sandstorm 2003 mix but i doubt thats it
