Upping OGG @ The ID section

How about allowing users to upload .ogg samples as well as MP3s on the ID section? That'll allow users to send higher quality/ longer samples while easily avoiding the file size limit!

unfortunatily i dont think this would work as all the tracks get streamed in unknowntracks.com and imm sure that it only works with mp3's atm, maybee the codecs could be updated to stream the ogg files to though

i think it would involve and insane amount of recoding for such am easily unrequired change so i doubt it.

i thought the idea each track was only streamed for a minute anyway, and having a higher bitrate really wouldn't make that much difference tbh, especially as 56k warriors like me can only stream 24k anyways

Even if the sample sounds like utter crap it doesn't matter - the goal is to get it identified by someone who knows it - thats it.

Yeah & It does a great job, unless like one I wanted, the DJ (piet Bervoets of Rank 1) couldn't even remember it when I sent him a clip
