-- beat for beat synth for synth...whats the best tune ever produced?
Pages (2): [1] 2 »

No, this isnt another one of those "whats your favorite song" threads...it could be tho. It doesnt necessarily have to be your favorite song. Like moogwai viola isnt my favorite song (it sure as hell comes close tho!), but thats my choice as the best song produced beat for beat, synth for synth, or whatever names you wanna call it. You can hear each differnt synth or beat that comes in...and how well they mix in together, i swear...THATS talent! Listen to the whole song (not from live mixes where its cut) and youll understand. Any suggestions? Im sure theres tons.
Hey its my first post! This site rips ass! Hope im welcomed here, seeing that im from trance-less los angeles...where all you hear is alice deejay bumping from peoples cars....dammit

Hello!

Hi Hitokiri glad to see you found us . DJ Sakin Nomansland and Protect Your Mind . just have a listen to how complex the song is and what is used . He is one of the best producers around

hiya hitokiri.. welcome to ta =p.. nihonjin?
hehe..
synth for synth....
i'd say.... the most 'talented song' is gonna be
SYstem F & AvB - Exhale
i guess..

Thumbs up

o yea and if you want the most creative its Extreme Trax / Final Fantasy

Aria 'Willow (DJ Tiesto's Magikal Remake)' (Black Hole)

Masterpiece.

Cool

The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (En-Motion Remix)

In my opinion this mix surpasses every other made from this tune. The part when the well known synth hits in is just genious, so is everything else in this song.

Of course, it's impossible to choose one winner, but for me, now, this is the best Pure talent...

Peace

If I had to name such a tune it would be "Robert Miles - Children [Full Version]". This is definitively THE masterpiece from my point of view.
Although there are lots of tracks that I like more (of course "Children" remains one of my fav. tunes) I have to say that this track has been worked over to the max!!! Everything fits together. This is art !!!

I would call that one of the best written tracks .

No need to look any furthur than this:

Sasha - Xpander

took a pure genious to come out with.
unbelievable the magic production of this track.
no other track comes close to the complication of this track.. its so unique.

Hello! Welcome to trancEaddict Hitokiri ^_^x :)

Well I must say I like lots of stuff that Tisto himself has done and I think of all time favorites must be Tistos Sparkles. this version here http://hem.passagen.se/djsteve/Dj_Tiesto-Sparkles.jpg (dont forget to rename to mp3 after download)

One of many favorites right now is Cosmicman - I love you (v1.4 new version)

I almost forgot I really love Mauro Picotto - Proximus (Megavoices Claxixx Mix) also

c-ya

welcome hitokiri

wow...that's a really difficult question.

all of the ones mentioned are some of the best trackz eva. though new, i think urban train is really well done.

Posted by djdawn on May-15-2001 17:44:

for me it would be
Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth
Awesome sounds and synths, pumping beats and full of energy. Still gives me chills after 6 years!

All songs mentioned above are great productions here's my choices :

BT - Flaming June

Widely regarded by many DJ's as one of the best Trance songs ever produced.

Tilt - I Dream

One of PVD's favorite songs...this song is a classic which has everything....great beats, builds and melody.

Bedrock - Heavens Scent

Every beat is simply perfect, the best song of 1999 !!!

There are many other great songs but IMHO these are superb productions.

Sven Vath - Ritual of life (The Tribal acid mix)

One of the older tracks, but a great build-up produced by Sven Vath & R.hildenbeutel.

i agree, xpander is a great example of utilizing each and every beat and synth line.. wow.. i was going to suggest aria - dido (armins universal religion mix)
but now im just not sure.

you could say scorchio, in a minimalistic fashion.. very simple, yet overpowering

hmm...yeah true. also yahel & eyal barken - voyage (dj tiesto magikal remake) is really good too. unique sound, feel and emotions come outta this one. makes it special.

Posted by TeKnoHe@d2025 on May-16-2001 01:53:

Hmmm...I think I might have to go with System F- Exhale...I just can't get enough of that tune. But Yahel does have some very good songs too that deserve to be mentioned.

Posted by Bellie on May-16-2001 06:33:

I just love Chakra - Home (Above & Beyond Mix)
The melody the vocals.....Just GREAT tune!!!!

GREETZ!

Yea...for sure this track catches your attention because of its uniqueness. But i dont understand it like a lot of other people do. Dont get me wrong, the track is cool, but this track keeps coming up when people ask about the top 10 greatest songs. Maybe cause my version is from atbs clubbers guide to trance...oh well probably doesnt matter. Its cool tho, i like a lot songs that other people dont really like, so its all good.
