-- Best Trance Set Ever Witnessed and Why?

Posted by Viceroy on May-15-2001 17:34:

Sorry if this has been done before...If it was I didn't see it! For me it was at Turbo in Toronto last year. It was the Tribe 7th Year Anniversary party. Dave Ralph spun the most insane and flawless set I have ever heard. The crowd was all feeling it, and was going off in harmony. Truely an un-topable night. (is un-topable a word, if not I'm taking the credit for it's creation )

These are the ones that come close:

-Sasha and Digweed for 10 hours @ Twilo for my B-day!
-Danny Howells @ System Soundbar in Toronto
-Mauro Picotto @ System Soundbar for 5 hours
-Tiesto @ Wintergalactic for 3 hours

Insanity!

What's yours?!.......

Steve

well the best set ive ever actually witnessed would have to be pvd live @ space (philly)-5-17-99... just because pvd was in my home town (relative)

best live set ever would probably be a tie between dj tiesto-live @ energy 2000 and pvd-live @ simon's 8th anniversary

King

The best live set i've ever witnessed is by far Marco-V in my hometown Bergen He rocked the crowd like noone else. When he played Recovered i went totally nuts. Man, what a tune...

Peace

Sander Kleinenberg and Nick Warren doing a 5 hour tag-team set at Soma in Boulder a few months ago. Sick.

Tiesto.....Live in LA when he recorded Magik 7, and then did another set afterwards making the performance last over three hours!

Thumbs up

Ehhh... you can't call it "trance" I think but mine best liveset ever experienced has to be Miss Djax at the Shockers party at the 5th of May.
Man, she threw down such a mindblowing set!!! It was so unbelievable HARD and so full of ENERGY!!
Shockers was a techno-party but the techno Miss Djax spun wasn't regular techno... she called it Acid-Techno. Damn, that style is goooood. The best I ever heard!

Mine would have to be:

Paul van Dyk - New Years 2000 (12-31-00) in Hollywood, Ca!

Just imagine, two blocks of Hollywood Blvd. shut down with 15000 people. Great sound, fireworks, great atmosphere. Oh, and did I mention, Paul van Dyk?

It's going to be hard to beat that for this coming New Years.

The Tiesto set at the Mayan for Magik 7 was also really good. So was the Oakey set last year.
