Come on people, let's be democratic here. I know his tune selection is not exactly in line with what we like, and his fashion choice is a little questionable, but should certainly be allowed to come to Australia and play in our night clubs. We just don't have to go waste our money to go see him.

And the man's not all bad either. Well... at least he used not to be. Think of the MOS Annual 2000. CD1 (Jules' CD) is awesome, I don't care what you say. Absolutely top notch mixing and track selection. Think also of Angelic - Stay with me. Absolute TUNE!!!! (even though I betcha it's 99% Darren Tate). And the rest of his tunes aren't *that* bad. I quite like Citizen Caned - The Journey. I know it's not trance, but still a half decent tune. The other Angelic stuff is quite good too (I know some chicks who die to here "it's my turn"). And if you want something a little harder, the Hi-Gate songs (eg Caned and unable) aren't *that* bad. And Yomanda - Sunshine (hi gate remix) is actually quite reasonable. I mean, it's on trance nation 3, so it's gotta have some ounce of respectability! (back in the days when MOS album mixers actually chose their tracklistings)

All I was saying is that, as a producer, Jules, has *some* ok songs. That being said, every producer has their stuff ups: Random - My dance (Ferry Corsten remix) for example.

Posted by Philby on Jan-29-2003 08:47:

hmm
i didnt mind him at godskitchen
so he loves coming to australia, big deal! if you dont want to see him then dont. hes probably more popular than other djs here and so that also might be why he comes a lot, promoters etc might think hes "safer" in terms of making money from an event. and although we might like to think otherwise, tranceaddict probably doesnt accurately represent the majority of people's music taste in this country

Posted by webmeister on Jan-29-2003 10:46:

Yeah the Judge has done a couple of decent things .. I wouldn't pay money or go out of my way to see him though....

Posted by Itchy on Jan-29-2003 10:51:

hell, the guys making a living doing something he enjoys, leave him alone..... so what if you don't like his style, you can't please everyone in this world ...... good on him i say. I'd like to see the day when any one on here becomes as successful as him, nothing personal....

harsh

Damn, i've never seen someone hated as much as judge jules is, wTf? mebe its just cuz i'm from america (although theres probably just as many americans that hate him) and most european people hate him cuz he's pop-ish over ther, but I think he's one of the best djs right now. Maybe the reason he plays cheese down under is cuz you mates like it sooo much.

Posted by Paulie on Jan-31-2003 00:36:

I think u guys are all jealous of his impeccable fashion tastes, his incredibly godly like DJ poses. Dude the guy plays it up. He wants u to hate his guts, he get pleasure out of it. Man I want his fashion designer now i tell u

No sarcasm i admire the guy, i really like his positive attitude and the way he enjoys himself when playing live, some djs should take note.

Posted by djmorph on Jan-31-2003 02:37:

holyshit, this is your logic: because he is popular, we can't like him. Where is the logic in that? Now I understand if jules pulled something like oakenfold did with switching styles, but he's been playing the same style of tunes forever. Not to mention its really the crowd that picks the tunes by the way they react to each one, so If you're saying he sucks, your really saying the crowds he plays to suck. This is of course non-sense, in that he dj's for the largest radio station in the world, in the biggest dance country in the world.
