WMP 9 series vs. Winamp3

well i've through an odyssey to make wy wmp9 play mp3 files alright,and now its done! hooray
anyway,heres the question:
WINDOWS MPLAYER 9 OR WINAMP 3!!
and give me no "i have w3 equalised and crap!"

personally i think im sliding in the mp9 side

wmp 8 works fine here verison 9 not tested wmp 8 is enough for me don't need better
and winamp 2.81 for mp3's

Winamp 3 eats up too much memory but the skin I have on it kicks ass which makes me use it something like 75 different colour choices

I use FreeAmp. I don't like winamp 3 ( too much memory usage for my poor computer ) and i never try Wmp 9.

I use both Winamp 3 and WMP9 and they both work fine for me. I got WinXP, 2.0 Ghz P4, 786 MB RAM. Get the MMD3 skin for winamp3. The only complaint I have about winamp3 is the load up time when you first start it.

They both suck - one has bugs, the other eats up resources, but both look really nice

Stick with the previous version of both

winamp3 was released to early and has a fair bit of sloppy coding in it, and i feal that windows media player does to much with to many features eating up memory, winamp 2.8x for me with the video pluggins installed!

Just not a fan of the microsloth product... Winamp 3 is pretty, but 2.81 has the best functionality.

Both are reasonable, especially in the playlist department i must admit, but for just playing a few quick songs neither compares to the original Sonique.. v1.95 or whatever. Winamp3 creates too many windows, and mp9.. just never a fan of media player i guess with the exception of v6.4 :-)

Im to paranoid about playing my mp3's with wmp9 you never know with M$ they could be spying on your system and stuff, I know that if you run DIVX movies or svcds for some reason it requests a codec, errors, but still plays. You never know what M$ is doing when it requests that CODEC. Winamp 3 is a little slow for my tastes, and it kind of works slow, I.e loading tracks, and chaning skins, and has crashed on more than one occassion. I would stick with Winamp 2.81 the previous versions, nothing can beat that player...

I use winamp 2.71...wmp 9 & winamp 3 both suck...I wasn't disappointed with wmp 9 because its microsoft and what do u expect...but wimamp could have emprved without changing wimamp totally

Read the license agreement on WMP 9... they are entitled to remove stuff from your harddrive!

I have it but im to paranoid to play my divx! I stick with Bsplayer or my PowerDVD!
