if you are into warships, check out the intrepid, west side, i think ~40th street.. old aircraft carrier and a submarine to inspect.. tehy even have one of those mach 5 jets there.
there is a museum about the history of new york in midtown somewhere that looks pretty interesting, though i haven't been yet.
if you are at all into progressive, you should go to DT's anniversary party at arc friday night/ saturday morning.
check out McSoreley's Pub ..its on E. 7th...its NYC's oldest bar and one of the oldest in the country. they have 2 types of beers ... light or dark, both brewed there. there is a chandeleer that has never been dusted..and tons of cool things to look at on the walls..its just a cool part of NYC and American history.
SoundFaktory.. RIght by the warship. 46th and west side...

I can recommend Go Sushi for cheap and good sushi. If you like sushi, let me know, i will post locations.
The best BBQ chicken pizza i have ever had, was at "Pasta La Vista" on ~ 57th and 6th; a small place run bei either italians or brazilian people (sorry I was unable to distinguish)
The East Village is an interesting place to hang out.
If you never had pearl (aka Bubble) tea, I would recommend Tea & Tea. If you are interested, let me know, i will dig out the other locations, but there is one on 14th and 2nd ave i think and another one near Times Square on Broadway (north of TS). And one in the mall at Pier 16 i think.
[shameless plug]check out the Lehman Brothers' Building, they have TV's on the outside -woot- [/shameless plug]
