I liked what you did with the "half" melody there... its not exactly the same but then again, what remixes are for

only problem IMO is that it sounds too "simple"...
you need to make it more jumpy, more full, add some pads, stabs, even percussion...

goodluck finishing it.

well it depends on you...
and what style you want it to be... I believe you are going to the Uplifting side...
so try to build up from the beginning of the tune, start with beats, build the beats up, as the track continiues, add some pads/melody stabs so the listeners will have an idea that this is a remix...

or, you could just build up the beat through the track, then come to a break down and then start with the pads/stabs/melodies...

the whole point i'm trying to make is that when a listener clicks "play" on his winamp to hear your track... he gets "dry" and moves it foward to see if it gets any better...
you must think of ways to keep the listener's attention by adding cool beats, FX... ever supride breaks...

hope i helped...

well I took a listen.. the beat is OK.. I luv the flanger effect..

everything gil said was true: U need more effects, but before anything: I Think the main melody is off the key, and It doesant sound too good.. U might consider "nudging" the main melody a few good tones up... atm I was like: what the hell is this

Well, that sounds abit to simple in my opinion, not only simple but also pretty empty.
The quality of the percussion samples isnt too good either.
But thats ok man, if ur only at the begging of your way at production just practice, make as much tunes as possible.

The better sounding tunes will come, whith time and practice...

good luck!

Shahar,
I've made an example for you of how the remix should atract the listener's attention...
i've worked on it for 3 hours so don't expect much

but I think that if you'll hear it, you will get my drift and see what I mean...
