i hate when they do shit like that..just like when the cut the twin towers scene from spiderman or delayed the release of big trouble with johnny knowxville .... its a fucking movie for chist sakes. people take this shit way too far .. we are turning into a world a complaining sissys. people need to face the fact that bad shit happens and i cant stand all the complaining fairies that say "this infringes on my rights as a human being, i want to go see this movie, but i dont want to be reminded of a terrible event" all i have to say to these people is go fuck yourselves..go crawl under a rock or join some monestary in tiebet so u dont have to see something that makes u cry .. and just keep fucking yourself until i say you can stop.

what i was going to post. i mean, wtf? how about we all pretend this world is a happy place and let's live in denial until the next bad thing happens, after which the media can piss and whine how predictable / unpredictable it was.

this "political correctness" just pisses me off. chuck palahniuk's second book (he's the author of fight club), survivor, didn't make it to a movie just because it has a scene of a plane crashing. that movie with the phone booth or something was delayed because of the sniper in DC area. the movie with tim allen was delayed because of sept 11 simply because there's a scene where they drag a bomb onto a plane... collateral damage... LOTR... all these were subject to "political correctness" asswiping.

i mean, COME ON! we're not in 3rd grade. reality is harsh sometimes, so what?

my .02

p.s. the interesting thing is that there's always some movie out that reflects the current political / etc. situation in the US. i have a feeling there's a movie about to come out that has something to do with the war in iraq which will be delayed or something (or watch them recall all the three kings tapes & dvds)

Guess tehy have to pull the movie Deep Impact off the shelves. They show a space shuttle blowing up inside a meteor with a few nukes.

they should stop making movies with people being killed in them, since it is a such a great tragedy that people are killed everyday. they should just make movies about happy things, so we dont hurt anyone's feelings. i mean yea, it is sad that the space shuttle crashed, but people die everyday, in car crashes and all sorts of shit, personaly, i dont like how stuff like this is a big deal all over, even though it is sad.

yeah, people die on the job everyday and cnn wouldn't be making such a huge thing out of it if it were 7 fisherman who died... although fishermen are no astrounauts, at least they don't have computers and 7,000 people at NASA do a lot of stuff for them.

i suppose they have to pull out armageddon too - 1. one shuttle crashed and 2. remember when the meteors strike the twin towers and there are gaping & burning holes in them? i bet people would be VERY upset, eh?

you know, though i agree w/ u all about ppl making massive deals out of real event portrayals in movies, i got the worst case of chills and goosebumps watching the end scene in Gangs of New York. i know many ppl who also agrees w/ me but that is not to say that they should remove that scene b/c that alone made the movie all that more impactful...

North American society is so sheltered...the Governments are treating us like panzies.

I think it's stupid, it's not like anyones going to be offended or anything. Unless the movie says something like this is for all those pathetic bastards that died in the space craft crash then I doubt it could be deemed as offensive or anything like that. I'm assuming the next step is to go back and remake all movies so that they don't have any scenes with the twin towers in it, and we should just burn all the movies dealing with space crafts

The "Government" has nothing to do with this.

you're probably gonna make all those movies better by doing so

I once read on a site against LoTR:TTT, that is was named The Two Towers to cash in on 11 sept. Tolkien must clearly haven been clear-voyant as the book was published in 1953.
I just lost a girlfriend in a carcrash I demand that all movies with cars, crashes, death-scenes, girls, friends and little kids (because she had her child with her) to be pulled out of record-stores, movie-theaters, shops, privat home collections. All billboards containing reference to such movies should be pulled down aswell and above all all sound-tracks should be destroyed because they are trying to cash in on my grief and her families grief.

For god sake ppl grow up. My grief is my grief. Give the world their movies! It hurts to lose someone (alot even),but I know that there is still enough good things in this world. So stop talking bullshit about thinking about the grief of all those families, about being political correct. Those families will eventually get over it and get on with their lives whether those movies are playing or not. And if they don't then they're in need of counseling. Ofcourse who am I, a retart European who doesn't believe in god. It may be a clich already but all this bullshit is coming once more from the "GREAT"
USA and the funny thing is, that I know that it can't be the will of ALL US-citizens, because the girlfriend that died was a US citizen so it must have something to do with that damn US goverment!!!
