Webcam

My webcam software isn't compatible with Windows XP. I got the camera like 2 years ago, it's a 3com and it has great picture quality for a webcam. Well those cocksuckers at 3com decided not to make any updates for my webcam so I've been without one for about a year or so now. Is there a way I can download an alternate driver for the webcam or trick windows into thinking it's a different camera?

Try telling xp to look for drivers via the windows.com site not by a cd or floppy

yay, it might even be older than that, i'm not sure. my dad founded a video confrencing company way back in the day...the company died eventually, but i got alot of cool stuff.

I bet it weights 50 pounds and is the size of a television , just like the ancient cell phones, the ones with the ghostbuster style backpack battery and the antenae looked like a car antanae

its actually about 6" long, and about 1" thick, so its not small, but its definetly not big.

never really understood the point of having webcams..its kinda hard i mean youre at home relaxing..chatting up and posting spam on TA, in yer boxers, bra and who knows what else. but with a webcam you gotta look at decent and cant even pick yer nose if it itches.

Try installing vmware, it allows you to run multiple OS's simultaniously so u can be running windows 98 within xp to make ur webcam work.

It runs like any other program would, it just opens up another window that's running windows 98 within xp. I don't have the program anymore since I formatted, but it shouldn't be too hard to find if you look hard enough.

man, there was a great pic of slylee picking her nose on here webcam once upon a time, i did a search and couldn't find it though.
