The Votes are finally in...

Every year the "NYTA Crew" gets together to vote on some awards for its respective members. This year we have some new entries into the hall of shame.

2002 Thread-Jacker of the year: Starfox (This is Arturo's 4th nomination, 2nd win) Arturo, you have 30 seconds to make a speach...

2002 Eye-Roller of the year: Lunasea (This is Daniela's 1st nomination, 1st win) Daniela averaged a whopping 2.7 eye-rolls during her span, well above the mark previously held by Twilochik at 1.2

2002 Spammer of the year goes: It was a close call between the nominees, but the award finally went to Greg0r for his 11.44 post per day average and his amazing 50+ post day (This is Greg0r's 1st nomination, 1st win) I see a bright future in this category for him, he is def. a rising star in the spamming category

2002 Useless poster of the year: This one was a landslide win for amdmaxx, in fact, there werent even any other nominees. (Art's 1st nomination, 1st win) Congrats Art, you were the only 1 to sweep your category in votes.

2002 Hardcore TA of the year: Rubyriva, This is Caryn's 2nd nomination and 2nd win. Caryn logged over 2 million driving miles last year following around famous european djs. In fact she logged more miles last year than USAIR. Congrats Caryn and hope to see the streak continue.

2002 NYTA Moderator of the year: well, since we only have 1 I guess I'll except the award on his behalf, Mr. Red has been nomiated 4 times and has won 4 times. He holds the record for moderator awards and is currently up for the Berlin, Germany Moderator Hall of Fame induction in 2005. He should be a shoo in.

and that concludes our awards for 2002, stay tuned next February for the 2003 NYTA Awards

yay! i will be the first to make my acceptance speech

i would just like to thank my trusty rusty blazer for continually running despite the "service engine soon" light for being on for the past 4 months. i am nearing 90,000 miles in 3 years.

i would also like to thank those talented european djs for frequenting cities like: new york city, boston, d.c., toronto, montreal, chicago, miami. maybe you should consider syracuse, ny.

many thanks to the clubs and booking agencies...

also to the wonderful TA support i have received.

last but not least, i'd like to thank my family, without you, i could never have achieved this...

future plans: well, the partying continues! i got my passport so i will be going international soon...stay tuned for future endeavors.

THANK YOU

ok, we can do that. Everyone should think of a category and some nominees, then I will post some polls, leave it up for like 1 week and we will have our winners

sound good?

thank you all for respecting the hard work of a spammer I know i know, i took the summer off, and the fall too, but now I am back with a vengance AND a goal. GTA's going up. I would estimate less than one week till we take Stockholm. And London is next!

yes, I have taken spamming to a new level, providing charts as motivational tools ( www.wpi.edu/~drizzt81/Ta-Europe.xls ) and we are on a roll right now.

Thanks again to my mom and dad, for not helping my social skills, so that I can hang around and post all the time, Speakeasy.net for a fast net connection, so that I can spam comfortably fast, Opera for a nice and fast browser, and to TranceGiant for showing me the light and way to a better future by metioning that "France is going down".

Yes, I am truly Tranceaddict.com/forums addicted but I like it

I like that idea, too. By the way, congrats on winning the Mod award, Ian. I was on the edge of my seat wondering who it would be.

I was thinking of categories based on real awards shows..or is that cheesy?

Best Breakthrough TA
Best TA Action sequence
Best comedic performance
Most desirable TA (male and female)
Most dramatic TA
Ta lifetime achievement award....and so on.

ANYWAY, congrats to ALL!! And Caryn, do tell what designer you're wearing, love. Simply smashing! hahahaaaaa

I know, I am the XL wh0re i have much more in petto apart from lame 70-day post averages.. I think i need to start extrapolating more and i am thinking about an XL macro that automaticall reads the information off the site and adds it as a new entry to the table. then i need to figure out some way to make the charts auto-uptdate and increase the data-source range everytime that happens... yes yes work work and why? All because I cannot query the DB on TA.com oh well, i might go nuts at some point and add more local forums to it..

we GTA's do need to watch it, our average is down to sub 300 post/ day!!

it depends who you are and how much time you've been in each other's presence at any given moment. sometimes it's too long.
