You guys have any idea how to fix this problem?

When I start Internet Explorer this is the first message that pops up:

lol that looks like some amateur programmer's error.. j/k

what i can recommend is that you reinstall IE 6. or if you don't have IE 6, get it, and get the latest service pack, whatever it is.

if nothing else works, you'll have to reformat your HD... the best solution when you have a big problem. but this problem doesn't seem *that* big, so i wouldn't advocate this until you're really in the frustrating phase.

btw does *windows* explorer work fine?

Just create a back-up and reconfigure or call tech support.

u seems to have adware/spyware on ur computer. You can disable error messages in IE so it never popups.

can u edit the internet settings?

if you can, set you homepage to about :blank and restart internet explorer..

[edit: oh and get OPERA for christ' sakes: www.opera.com ]

Installed XP?

I think that M$ OS' are generally moving in a very nice direction. Win2K and now XP are incredibly stable and can be made to have a decend performance. I mean, if you are using ME or sh1t like that, it's your own fault.

WHAT? How can u preger win98 over XP? XP has all the eye-cnady garbage you could have in 98, runs almost all 98 programs and it STABLE.. I don't have to reboot 3-4 times/ day.. and i can actually multi task quickly, kill processes easily...

WHAT? how can you prefer XP over win98? All that "eye-candy" stuff is made for children under 12 who cant even understand the term "shutdowm" therefore had to change it to "turn off". bleh.
'98 was much more stable on my computer...

Posted by Orbax on Feb-07-2003 01:34:

lol win 98 compared to anything sucks, i actually think 95 was more stable. They are two different platforms. Stability and usability arent really issues.

Everyone should have a linux box btw. Go to a surplus store and you can pick up p3 500s with 1 gig hd and a vid card for 70 bucks.

Everyone should also drink beer. Lots of it. Cheers (literally)

rotfl. you are kidding right?

fresh install of XP on NTFS?

I mean if you have like 128MB ram, XP does suck, but apart from that XP [sizez=7]>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>[/size] 98
