Sander Kleinenberg remixes Justin Timberlake
After Orlando�s Bill Hamel, it�s now up to Dutchman Sander Kleinenberg to remix a new Justin Timberlake record. It seems that the new pop stars of today have increasingly found their material in dance music studios through some of the better known producers that have been paving the way on the underground circuit.

Sander is in Holland over the next few weeks to finalise some projects and plan ahead for the next few months, and will also launch his new label �Little Mountain Recordings� - the name is a rough translation of his Dutch surname - soon. The First record on this label �Higher Thoughts� comes from Dutch producer Matthew Dekay, and is supposed to appear on Sander�s new GU album.

Sander is now in the studio working on a remix of Justin Timberlake�s new track �Rock Your Body�. Furthermore, Sander has also finished Part 3 of his Four Seasons EP series that will be released at the Winter Miami Conference in March this year. The remix for this third edition was done by none other than BT.

This weekend Sander plays at Spirit in Dublin and at The Arches in Glasgow. From February 21st, Sander Kleinenberg will be playing at venues in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and America until the third weekend of April. (06/02/03)

If it were Tiesto remixing Justin Timberlake thousands of people would be flaming him right now. But since it's proggie Sander no one gives a shit

I'm kinda curious what his remix will sound like. It's always nice to hear pop/rock/whatever tracks remixed by top DJ's/producers. IMO no DJ should be flamed for remixing pop/rock acts even if they are called Justin Timberlake... A DJ can always make a way better track of the original, but ofcourse not always. I'll wait and see.

Yeah well, if Tiesto mixed it, then it would be shit. Just like all the other remixes tiesto does.

i think everyone is excited to hear what sander does to the track...

dont be confused, Justin Timberlake does not equal N'Sync... he has proven me and a lot of people wrong. I actually am enjoying his releases so far... and after hearing what deep dish did to his first single... i cant wait... if sander makes it proggy... its gonna be tight... if he tries to make it POP, then it'll suck IMO

Dont see what the big deal about remixing a pop song is all about. Its not like every pop remix is bad. Ive heard many remixes of Justin Timberlakes 'Like I Love You' that are spot on. It makes sense, since everyone hates pop music, then why not try remixing it to make it better?

I totally agree. I really like the Deep Dish remix of 'Like I Love You' and want to hear the Basement Jaxx's too. And I'm eager to hear Sander's mix of this other song too. If it sounds good, who cares where the original came from or who it was made by.

No harm at all I feel. It's a perfect showcase for talented producers to show the world what they are capable of- turning shite tracks into gems. After all didn't Sander K do a fantastic job transforming a supposedly half-cheesy pop song (if it can be considered pop) Lamya- Empires into somewhat of a progressive classic?

Airscape is wicked at producing trance and they do some remixes that could turn people off ie vengaboys

Of course it will be good, this guy can't miss.

its mandy moore... i wish it were me, i'd be playing with myself and making hot lesbian love to some other babe...

but back to reality... pop music is still music... even though you and i might not like it much... but now you might see where labeling a music genre is a problem... by you dismissing EVERY POP song, you will miss out on some quality tracks from time to time... you will also tend to lose your grip on reality after a while... and as you go deeper and deeper into underground music, you will have no other genre to compare your music to... thats why its important and even refreshing to listen to and YES even enjoy, from time to time, POP MUSIC... and if not for the chance of finding one POP song that you enjoy... you can atleast be albe to dictate what in pop culture you hate and why you truely love the music you love.... if we barricade our genres with walls, they will not grow and we will be stuck in an endless 16 count loop of ATB - 9pm or Darude - Sandstorm... heaven forbid

Well I never ever listened to any pop music since I went straight from classical to trance. I guess I never had a grip of reality Although nowadays I can stand some pop music as long as it's interesting, but I don't think any boy bands would qualify for that.

Oh, and I always considered Sandstorm and 9pm as being pop music or McTrance. Never really liked those

But I think this remix will turn out excellent because Sander can produce. Just the same as the Deep Dish remix of Eminem, soo good.

well actually Bill hamel did an amaizng remix of 'Cry me a river'. You guys should check it out sometime, its great if you like some Progressive beats and some funky vocals.

I also like the video and the original of cry me a river.

i think its great... dont see anything wrong w/ it.. deep dish has done remixes for Dido/N'Sync/eminem tracks and hybrid's done remixes of Filter/Sarah McLachlan, sander's done remixes for Lamya... and they all sound great imo. in fact, lamya - empires (sander k audio paranoid mix) is one of my fav tracks of 2003... anyways, its not like any of their remixed songs resemble their originals. maybe the vocals.. and thats just about it...

personally i think justin timberlake sounds like a girl when he sings and am against any reputable producer trying to save a sinking ship just because the ship might be popular..

...or Dido - Thank You. I just got DD's GU021 last week and I'm obsessed with that track. They also remixed Madonna's Music, which they, if I'm not mistaken, won a Grammy for.

I'm sure Sander will do a good job on the remix.

i thought it was their remix of thank you that wont them the grammy.. oh well whatever. they still are great

also BiR has done countless remixes of pop/rock acts yet they are always ace. im sure sanders remix will be good too!

I personnally think the pop song has a very good beat... despite them singing over a well made song by "BT." Im more curious about BT's new song that he made with NSYNC member JC. So far i've only heard good things from BT personnaly. BT, commented that many were shocked when they found out it was JC.
