Midway - Monkey Forest (Original and Vincent & Quentin Remix)

Ralphie B came out with this sucker a while ago. Vincent & Quentin did a remix and it's comin out soon on Lost Language. I perfer the Original mix over the Vincent & Quentin one. But who knows, maybe it will grow on me!

Ya I agree, the orignal is better...the V&Q remix is not bad though

Original Mix well I wont spend time reviewing this one as it is quite old.
But it's a good tune none the less. Much harder then the Vincent And Quentin Remix IMO.

8/10 for Original Mix

Vincent And Quentin Remix is a bit different from the original. Starting off
with a more quiet bassline, then fades off as different layers are added in to build
the track. The main melody kicks in at around 1:38 and gets louder. The track is
pretty much repeated the rest of the track, not counting the breakdown and climax, which
I must add is not all that interesting. Some weird screaming like soundeffects are
repeated throughout some points of the track, which I find cheesey and out of place IMO.
Near the end of the track the listener may get 'bored' as the tune does not really go
anywhere.

This remix of Monkey Forest by Vincent And Quentin is not the best production I've heard
from them. I would have expected something a bit different, but thats just me.

6/10 for Vincent And Quentin Remix

I don't like the Vincent & Quentin remix much....it sounds pretty much the same as the original mix, only it lacks the great buildup and melody...

I agree, not a good remix but also not a soo bad remix.

dunno about this remix. it doesn't really have a climax, it doesn't build up to something groundbreaking. the track is hard to remix, but i can't help having the feeling they could have done more with it..

boo! totally needless remix imho! it doesn't add anything to the original! it is just like the original but with much less of the good stuff! boo!
