what do you guys think of my playlist?
Madison Avenue - Don't call me up (DRONEZ OLD SCHOOL REMIX)
Iio - Rapture (ARMIN VAN BUUREN REMIX)
Tomcraft - Loneliness
GTS - Mistral
Ghostland - Guide me god (PAUL VAN DYK REMIX)
Solid Sleep - Club attack (PAUL VAN DYK REMIX)
Second Sun - Empire (PAUL VAN DYK REMIX)
The Venture - Alaska
Star party - I'm in love (EN MOTION REMIX)
Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (EN MOTION REMIX)
Kid Vicious - Proceed (KID VICIOUS REMAKE)
Ayu - M (ABOVE & BEYOND TYPHOON DUB MIX)
Nu Nrg - Dreamland
The BPM starts with 135 BPM, and it ends with 146 BPM.
This is going to be my first demo cd, and I need all the negative comments I need. I know I put way too many uplifting songs after another, and this is bad (I have been told). How is this bad? Please explain....
Steve
not too bad
well i dont actually like ur tracklisting...that madison avenue and iio....beee...they would be good but not this year....try to throw some fresh stuff to make the ppl listen to ur mix be interested till the end and not saying "aah! i know this..."...but this doesnt mean u cant use some good-oldies...well cant judge only from tracklisting coz mix is the most important part...
its very pvdish but good
i dont think you have to remove the first two songs but maybe move them down the list. because if your handing this demo out to club promoters their going to pop this in the cd player, listen to the first two songs and say to themselves "this demo cd must be old" and then take it out and toss it in their back seat, cuz odds are they have heard these first two songs about a million times from other djs or in other clubs they have promoted.try to make the first several songs fresh and recent. something banging that maybe the promoter has never heard before.when you make a demo cd your real target is the ear of the promoter since odds are he's gonna be the first to hear you and if he doesen't like what he hears in the first ten minutes he's gonna pull it out and discard it.si i'd say keeep those songs in but move them down the list(it's still good to have the classics to bring back those memories)...
GIVE TRANCE A CHANCE....
Yeah very PVDish !! Try to make ur own tracklist
Pretty good. To make it less 'PVD ish' insert the (Golden Oldie) track:
L-Vee - Look Inside (Fire & Ice Mix)
In between Ayu and NU-NRG.
Looks aight.. I'd get rid of the Iio & Ghostland... Rapture is old & has been played on the radio way too much & Ghostland... Well it's the weakest PvD Remix out of the 3 & I don't think there should be so many PvD tracks in one set. Esp a demo disc... Try to have some variety
nice but some oldies like iio - rapture
lose the three pvd mixes in a row, ugh
also pla ythe orig mix of proceed, the remake is shit
Well this demo cd isn't for promoters and anything. I want to hand out my demo cd to friends or to people who doesn't listen to trance.
