Dunno Trance overdose...

I've listened to soooo much new trance, following all the events, listening to all broadcasts and downloadning every new sigle track from wherever possible lately (making it up for being out of scene for the last 6 months), that i'm starting to get sick of all the new tracks... so, i was going to treat myself with something chilloutish (and fresh)... any recommendations?

i listen to basically everything... starting from britney spears and ending with metallica. but i'm worried about getting bored with trance in particular at the moment. wanted to listen to something different in the boundaries of electronic dance music genres, but as long as i don't know too much about any good tunes except for trance (and some progressive, but basically judgjing by labels), i asked for advice

Listen too all genres or maybe there arent that many good tracks being released for trance, thats why i started mixing techno and progressive. but trance will always be in the heart.

The best way to cure yourself of this unfortunate condition is to invite over a friend who likes rock music, especially Bob Dylan, or otherwise immerse yourself in non-techno for a short period of time. Before you know it, once you're restricted from it for a little while and are hearing something else, when you finally get back to it you'll feel like you're falling in love with it for the first time and you will be cured.

P.S. This tactic also works with people

I know exactly what you are talking about.
I started listening more and more to house at the beginning of 2002
while still listening to trance and more and more I got the feeling
that I was getting fed up with all the monster synths and anthem here
and anthem there.

House, more specified, Progressive House (and some progressive trance)
is for me a breath of fresh air, not so much all thoose huuuge synths
and melodys that just keeps eating away at ever track.

My suggestion, go for Sasha, Digweed, Deep Dish or similar, they
occasinaly play some more trancy tracks but more the prog house genres.
