Aussie Hard Trance!

Hey guys!!!

I have been around tranceaddict.com for a little while but never noticed the Aussie forum!!!!

One of the people who downloaded my tracks told me to post here as he said you guys are a heaps supportave bunch and would be happy to give some feedback!

Well to start off my name is Nick and I live in Melbourne. I go to RMIT in the city and study Engineering - Computer Systems. I make Hard Trance in my spare time and have had some good times with that (had some radio play etc).

I am always looking to get feedback so I can make sure I aint just making crap that no body likes altho I would probably still make it, and love maiking it if do

Ok well here are the tracks that I have up on my web page:

First off is probably my 'hardest' track yet and I am sure you guys will like it. It has a simple vocal "Sounds like it has a Hallucinogenic effect" and the melodies in this one are pretty cool. The best thing about this track I think is the structure, it keeps flowing the whole way through. I am wondering if the buildup has enough energy in it and if it is long enough, what do you guys think? Anyway you can get the track here:

http://www.mp3.com.au/nfx/Hallucinogenic

Next is one of my classic tracks "Harmony In E" which I released a while ago but I have fixed it up and re - released it. It is a Melodic track with a few Hard Trance influences. Its main feature is its Dreamy Piano melody which some say is reminiscent of Robert Miles. You can get this track at

http://www.mp3.com.au/nfx/harmonyine

Deadline is another Hard Trance Track:

http://www.mp3.com.au/nfx/deadline

Escape is another Hard Trance, probnably harder than Deadline and it has a bass similar to that song Cocaine!

Well I think that is it guys!!! I will post back later on and I hope you enjoy!!

man go sign up with a label/record company, these are quality hot tracks

Posted by Paddlepop on Feb-11-2003 13:27:

omg thanks guys!! I cant believe how quickly you replied and you sound heaps nice!!!

If you wanna get into producing seriously just ask someone if you can 'borrow' their copy of Reason of Fruityloops to try out and then just muck around with it!

Tried doing some covers and work up from there!

It helps to have musical experience (my mums a music teacher and I did piano for 10 years) but its not a necessity!

Thanks so much for what you have said so far! I cant wait to hear from more of you now!!!!

Posted by Paulie on Feb-11-2003 13:50:

Welcome Dude.

Man i think ive heard harmony on E lol

Has it done or been doing the rounds around the clubs in Melbourne. Good to see some quality producers in melbourne

Posted by Paddlepop on Feb-11-2003 14:48:

Woo hoo I hope it has!

Its had some airplay so you may have heard it there but it is quite possible it has gotten played in some clubs as I distributed some copies earlier on and as far as I know it is 100% original

Thanks for the feedback!!

Hi paddlepop. Wellcome to AU-TA. I'm downloading them right now on a lousy 56K. I'm one of the few Psy-Trance lovers in this forums. So I'm glad that you have joined us....

Posted by Tranceilvania on Feb-12-2003 01:31:

Woowww Hey you're a pro m8. Certainly you have a future in Trance... (Sorry it's my mistake, I thought you were a Psy artist:crazy

Posted by Paddlepop on Feb-12-2003 06:57:

I thought there was more to a song than the bass.

Having triplet bass makes it cheese? I used cocaine as an example as I thought most of you know it, if you actually listened to the song maybe you would see otherwise....

Everyon has been so nice so far except for you!

Tranceilvania thanks heaps I am glad you like them! ( I love how people put Trance in their names!!!)

Tsunami One.... .....

Posted by Lanithium on Feb-12-2003 07:55:

hey ignore the minority mate, there are a few on here that feel the need to take the piss out of everyones music tastes 24/7... quite pathetic really..

listened to all of them.. nice work, you've certainly got talent thats for sure.. keep it up!

Posted by Paddlepop on Feb-12-2003 08:03:

Thanks mate!

Yeah its a shame there are a few people like that

Posted by jizza on Feb-12-2003 09:15:

very impressive indeed Nick.

Why can't i get the same sounds coming out of my fruity loops?

good shit dude.

Posted by Paddlepop on Feb-12-2003 09:25:

hehe thanks alot!

keep at it and I am sure you will get it soon, you tried Reason 2.0?

Posted by SQ-K on Feb-12-2003 10:23:

Love it. I only wish I had the musical talent to produce something like that. Hard trance isn't really my thing, but Hallucinogenic is great. The melody's fantastic, but the breakdown could have been a bit longer, IMO.

Harmony in E is simply class. No more to be said.

And ignore Tsunami One -- aside from the locals thread, he hasn't had much to say that's been positive lately.

Posted by Tsunami One on Feb-12-2003 10:24:

seriously though go for it mate, if u like it do it make it etcc...

but i'll stick to my opinion that ht is absolute garbage.
