Mauro Picotto vs. Dave Clarke
Here we go with another legendary poll :: take your pick.
I have a strong feeling I know how this will evolve but then again I was completely wrong with the PVD vs. Tiesto prediction...
'brought to you by the tiesto vs PVD poll originators
i'm just gonna base this on the differences between them after seeing them in the past both live.. since comparing sets would be unfair as i have more Mauro than Clarke ones ..
the Mauro @ Guv - Canada Day 2001 just did it for me , over Clarke @ iDance 2001 ..
Dave Clarke is a lot more talented than Mauro is......theres no question.....but Mauros track selection is what does it for me, and the flow of his sets!
pffff Clarke hands down... people voting for Mauro do so because they don't know who Clarke is, and think that Mauro is the king of techno
Dave Clark... no doubt about it.
Whoa, pretty close so far. (for the record, these "my dj is better than your dj" shit is pretty lame, but I love it)
Haven't heard Dave Clarke, but the 4 times that I've seen Picotto he has comletely blown me away. So i'm gonna vote for Picotto..
Dave Clarke plus he is bitter.
Dave Clarke is for the uber-hard-core-techno-heads cuz Picotto is better known by newbies.
Flame away children!
haha I'm also on the Picotto bandwagon, just a matter of taste really. DJ skills wise, I really think they are pretty fucking close.

heh..it's like asking what tastes better...broccoli or celery.
There both food, you can eat them both, but some people don't like the taste of one or the other.
Personally I like celery
It's just a persons taste, if you don't like it, then don't cry like a baby and say this sucks and that sucks...Now go eat your vegatables....there good for you.
Dave Clarke of course
I don't know Dave Clarke, but so as he is being compared to Mauro I have to assume he too spins crappytrance. Damn the USA, since I moved here I don't get much exposure to such leading edge genres of music...
14 - 13 for Clarke

Dude, there was nothing serious in that post, LOL. But thanks so much for clarifying.
BTW, I'm pissed at Tatgirl for not including me in the TA Ban poll, so I'm gonna vote against Mauro. HaHa, this way Mauro won't be as good as Clarke, and she'll cry all day and all night. Muaahaahahaha.
Tied up
Since Mauro is my top dj im voting for him. Never heard of Dave Clarke, so he has 3 years of catching up to do. No one beats mauro, for myself anyways.

Originally posted by sake nobody said that dave clarke ever spins trance.. what i know is that he only spins techno, although he can combine it with electro sometimes.. he's never spun trance, and i don't think he'll ever change his outstanding style..

Originally posted by TheNeonAlien Honestly buddy u are an idiot. U only solidify that mauro can span across many genres of music and STILL suceed. To be a good dj you have to be versitile. Does it blacken mauro's name that he can spin both. Make Clarke spin trance! Stupid Fucksake
Have heard them both spin, though Mauro once or twice more than Clarke. Both great DJs in my opinion but Mauro's last performance at System put me over the edge. So much energy and excellent track selection. So my vote goes to Mauro although I still have a lot of respect for Dave Clarke as well.
Peace,
Trigger
dave clark no question, sorry tatgirl

Originally posted by sake and since when dave wasn't able to spin different genres of techno?? most of his sets are composed of tekkno and tek-elektro sometimes even pure elektro - that just proves that he's versatile... I think ur just dumb (new to the electronic world of musaaaaaq) cuz u've never heard of dave..

Originally posted by Endlesswave Um he's not saying different genres of techno. He means different genres of electronic music period. Ie he throws some trance in there occasionally because he produces the stuff. (it is GOOD to be very good in whatever genre you spin BUT there comes a point where you have to expand, move onto other stuff) Mauro can probably do that (I'm not saying Dave Clarke can't) but I'm just stating where I think the misunderstanding is. Relax both of you!
