i know what clubs are there.. but it's the fact that i'd actually have to enter london to attend them that puts me off.

London is a bit rubbish - i can get there on the train for about 6 in 30 minutes, but would rather go to gods in birmingham and thats 2 hours and 22 away.

London is shite.

Plus having all the train stations so far apart, having to use the underground etc makes it far worse.

Also for your trance and hard house needs:

Scream @ Old Fire Station (formerly Cafe Blue),Bristol every Friday

Posted by Anaardvark on Feb-13-2003 17:03:

Well theres a night every month at The Showbar in Bournmouth that does quite hard'ish trance. Last month they had The Crow (Uberdruck) and tomorrow night its S.H.O.K.K.

BTW, Cheeky Little Monkey is moving to a club called Passion in Bournmouth v.soon.

Posted by sykadelik on Feb-13-2003 19:57:

Check out 'The Core' in small Somerset town called Yeovil. I am off to see M Zone on the 28th along with Ben Eye and Northern Roy who were two old country club residents until the place closed. They also have Lisa Pinup and Lisa Lashes at some point.

I need more info on this showbar, I'd have been well up 4 seeing Uberdruck!?!?!

Posted by Anaardvark on Feb-13-2003 20:40:

Well the night at the showbar is called Trilogy, I think its monthly.

Diverse Vision Present Trilogy

Thanks everyone for getting on board this thread

London and Bristol (or further) are all a bit too far away for a "standard" night out (i.e. every couple of weeks or so). So, nice try but no thanks

Sexy_Trancer: I used to DJ at rpm before it got involved with Cheekys, and, *ahem*, don't DJ there now. So that's off the menu Oh, and I listened to too much funky house when I was involved with Soap (you remember them?), so that's not on my priority list either

Anaardvark: Where did u hear that about Cheekys moving to Bournemouth? I know they started there, but they've only been in Southampton since New Years Eve...

Cheers people

Posted by Anaardvark on Feb-15-2003 18:06:

Well i was talking to Chris B (of 'Pants & Corset' fame) on weds and he told me all about it as hes got something to do with it now?

Its all v.confusing, but hoorah for Cheekys in Bournmouth again

Posted by Sexy_Trancer on Feb-17-2003 00:41:

Ok, Tranceinmysoul your name wouldnt happen to be james would it? Cos if it is thats gonna be sooo damn weird. MY name is jo, an u prob no my best mate tom. That is if your name is James of course.

Very very strange. Also i disagree about London being shit! I think gettin to gods and crasher are far worse than goin to london! At least the tube is soo easy to use that u can hardly ever get lost! I went to cheekys on sat, 2 say the least the music was a bit turd. But next week, Lisa pin - up! Woohoo! Havent seen her yet, but i know a few slinky regs who are comin down 4 it!

Posted by TranceInMySoul on Feb-17-2003 21:16:

James and Tom... you wouldn't be talking about the 'R' brothers would you? Or am I way off on one???

And nah, I'm not James. Keep guessing (If I'm right on the above both James and Tom know me pretty well...)

Posted by TranceInMySoul on Feb-24-2003 19:57:

Seems rpm @ Paradise Club is now officially finished.

However, I heard that Cheeky is definitely moving to Bournemouth AND starting a monthly night @ The Matrix (Reading)...

have u ever been on the tube at 7am, still off your nut? only clubbers, all shaking their head to the rythm of the train on the rails.... weird, but v funny!

Posted by Choon Spinner on Feb-26-2003 00:07:

The promoter for Koolwaters is Marc Vedo, also Slinky resident. I know him reasonably well and was speaking other night to him, and he said he is getting Koolwaters to Southampton. Possibly RPM? Not sure on how regular this night will be held though.

Josh.

Paradise club is being turned into a lap dancing club
Cheeky's in Bournmouth is going to be weekly at Passion (opposite M&S near the Triangle)

Posted by TranceInMySoul on Feb-27-2003 19:48:

Thx for the info Anaardvark, but wtf do you need two rooms for in a lap dancing club?
