Beginning production

Hello,

I'm trying to start productin music, but i've no previous experience. I've been messing about with frutyloops and Qbasis..

anyone got any advice on where to start?? for a complete beginner??

for starting out, i`d say keep playing around with fruity, or u could try and begin with an other program (ie. reason or cubase)
just figure out which program u like the most.
anyways, keep practising alot, thats the most important thing to do!

i agree with that.
i fool around with fruityloops a lot at the beginning, its a very practicall program if you now how to use vst very well.

now i�m using acidpro4, its not a pro sequencer program but its better than fruity, my editions are with cooleditpro2.
I�m using this cuz i have no keyboard pops,, fruity its great to begin with, keep using it bro...

Download a VSTi like NI Pro-53 and learn how to design good sounds, I would also learn the basics of musical theory like chords and scales, this is also quit important.

i had a look for that NI Pro-53. it costs a staggering �199.

although illegal.. is ther anywhere i could download it.. for free??
anywhre you can get the full version of fruity?

i'm an unemployed student

besides, the setupfile isn`t that big

well, the thing is, i'm havin a lot of trouble with my modem at home, i very seldom get a connection (hardware compatability problems). and when i do get online, i'm usually disconnected within 20 mins.

I'm at college now, and we're not allowed to download stuff off the net, so i'm in a spot of bother

what did u use to make the site? anything i've ever made i just use the notepad and edit the html that way, but that sucks. i'm gonna get dreamweaver and use if from now on..

Dont listen to anyone who says fl isnt 'pro' or whatever, because u CAN make pro sounding stuff on it, but u can expect to be using it for at the very least a year or 2 id say before thats possible.
The only problem is synths. In my opinion reaktor is probably the only soft synth that can sound as good as hardware (when it comes to decent trance leads anyway), so ud better get that too, but its pretty awkward to use. I got the pro 53 the other day and its not that good, sounds very similar to most of the other soft synths out there, which are mostly shite.
