Cool [DD] New Track: 3-F - That's Mine [DD]

Howdy

new tune done... it completes the trilogy... first came 'Who Wants This?'... then 'I Want That'.. and now 'That's mine' hehehe

3-F - That's Mine

the best way i can describe this track is that its a kinda hybrid of progressive and epic.. if u can imagine that... well, dont imagine it, download it!

any thoughts are most welcome

its pretty good, i like alot of your proggy sounds and lots of the percussion is very nice, only thing i dont really like is the bass, for me it doesnt suit the style of the track, but ur tune is nice

What can I say? That's yours :D

It's a nice track to chill out to... good melody (I like the blending of prog and epic)... but I find that first synth (before the beat comes) a bit "Hong Kong Fu", if you know what I mean

Apart from that, it's all good mate

Posted by Sm0keMachine on Feb-14-2003 08:45:

Well this is the first track I hear from you (I don't go around here alot) and I really like it!!

and I like the bassdrum but I think you should lower it a bit (not too much though..) but I don't like that snare sample you are using, maybe that's just me....
The melody is very good I like it, especially in 6:24
very nice tune! I like your style

thx for the comments guys

maaz: aye i know what u mean with the hong kong fu thing.. its those oriental sounding 6ths this was a bit of an experiment for me hehe..

I like the percussive stule you have... excellent fx... lovely breaks in the middle.

The synths are a bit flat... that may be intentional too but I think they'd work better if they were beefed up a bit.

Definitely your best track so far.

or maybe not... complete computer death

im not entirely sure about the consequences of this computer death... i have my suspicions for it being a virus, which would be very bad as i may possibly lose a years work

hmm interesting, actually i think the beats work pretty well. they seem somewhat simple, but then again so did the CDR rip of that iio scumfrog choon and it just ripped when sasha dropped it. the break section is interesting too, kinda screams PvD for whatever thats worth. pretty solid overall, but i cant decide if this is more of a sasha stormer, or destined to get overbpm'd, i guess it depends on who picks it up first, good luck man|

it is nice!

sounds cool; a bit of a progressive feeling, comfortable chords/pads, very flanged and beautiful hats, the classical and non-stoping 3-F bass in a offbeat rythm, a smooth and "electronical" ambience over the whole thing and a short snare. it's very pleasable to listen to, though a bit harder/funkier mix would be great on the floor. i really liked the percussion and the fx/pad that fills the tune up. good work!

how bout a 3-F "that thing" megamix of the trilogy?

Posted by tu_face on Feb-20-2003 12:54:

hehe a megamix of the trilogy sounds like an interesting idea

thx for the comments, always appreciated

with regards to the comp death.. everthing is OK thank god.. things started goin really weird and stopped working (in a very similar way to when the FORM virus murdered my comp 3 years ago) but all is good.. turned out that my processor was sick of being overclocked lol... back down to 850mHz for me :/
