Halo 2

Looks like a wicked game. Will hopefully surpass Halo although that isn't really needed. The original kicked major ass and this game looks promising, any comments or info on it?

There was a lot of info about it in EGM a few months ago. If I remember correctly there is gonna be mad vehicles,all kinds of crazy strategies,and the enemies are going to be a lot smarter. And of course new weapons....the assault rifle will have a scope so you'll be able to snipe with it. Lots of other things,but I can't remember...oh yeah it will definately be online this time

Oh its gonna be a great game, Its the most requisted game at the momment, even more than Doom 3. They are really putting effort into this game, more guns, characters, vehicles, and gameplay mechanics. Can't wait for it to come out.

It's gonna support Xbox live, though not only deathmatch. Co-op play will be there too.

This is the only game that I would buy an Xbox for...too bad the controller is a P.O.S.

That's why you buy the smaller controller or you buy a converter so that you can use a PS2 controller on it

i'd prefer the Cube's controller

and the thing I hate about Xboxes controller is the buttons...I don't like their feel and shape and position and all that shit. Heh, I'll probably end up getting it though...unless I manage to resist. I'm in need of a kickass FPS.

Or you simply just say the hell with XBox. That's rediculous that I have to buy an alternate controller w/ adapter just to get a good controller. Stupid ass XBox controller, it's like you're holding a cheeseburger. At least the Controller S is a tad bit better...

Ah yes, just like the CD ripper that will only rip from copyrighted material LAME

Half my tunes I listen to aren't on CD and the only way the get to CD is if I burn them on a CD-R, which the box can't read.

Hmm lets see. XBOX will rip ANY cd's if the console is MOD'd. You can play VCD or DIVX movies, copy game to the hard drive, swap the hard drive (for more space) or the DVD drive (faster read speed), run computer programs, run emulators, play games off the hard drive. Theres lots more but thats all I could think of off the top of my head

Basically you buy a modchip and swap the hard drive and ur set. Just rent games, copy them to the XBOX and wherever u go u'll have ur game collection and it's a full entertainment centre cause u can also play VCD, DIVX and DVD movies.

...or you could just do all that on your PC

and i never knew you can change the HD and the DvD drive on it...as well as copy games to teh HD...are u sure about that?

Yep and those are only features I could think of off the top of my head, theres so much more.....................

as much as i hate to say it, i really doubt that. Look at the holiday season for 2002; Splinter Cell outsold Metroid Prime stupid xbox. If SC managed to do that, then I'm sure MS has something for this year as well.

i hope the GCN's version of Splinter Cell sell's well; Ubi Soft is putting a lot of work into that port. So much in fact, that the GCN version is supposed to be the superior version of the 3.

Bungie today announced that Halo 2 will not ship at any time in 2003, dashing the hopes of many waiting for the sequel to what was arguably 2001's game of the year. Previously thought to be a key title for this holiday season, Bungie noted that they aren't in the business of announcing release dates until they are absolutely sure of making the deadline, and thus had never properly pinpointed a release date beforehand.

while the xbox can't read CD-R it usually can read CD-RW. I burn stuff to CD-RW transer it to my xbox and then reuse the disc. it works on my xbox most of the time.

Well thats why I say that getting a modchip is the best way to go. Watch DVD movies without a remote, watch SVCD or DivX movies and you can transfer songs directly from your computer onto the XBOX so no more copyrighted music only BS.
